"Let's go, Spencer!"

Beverly had been in the middle of a game against Culver City, and the score wasn't going the way they had wanted it to. Culver City was the last in the division, and they were close to winning the game that would end the season early for the Beverly eagles. The score was 20:24, Beverly at a disadvantage, only seconds away from losing.

Spencer had made a run and was tackled in the 20-yard line, the crowd went wild. The offensive line-up headed onto the field, minus the star QB, Janelle.

Janelle had noticed the tension between the two friends, Jordan and Asher, since the moment Jordan was subbed in the last quarter. Something seemed to bother both of the boys, they would whine about everything. Jordan had made an incomplete pass because Ash couldn't get to the ball in time. This caused the two to keep bickering on the field, no-stop through the entire time remaining on the field.

The game had gone on, only 2 seconds on the clock, Beverly had called a time out, and now the players were headed to the field. Janelle just wished that they could pull this off.

"Baker in for the Touchdown!" The announcer yelled through the speakers, the rest of the Beverly team took off running onto the field, Janelle just sat there on the bench with her head in her hands.

As the team entered the boy's locker room, Janelle headed to the girl's locker room but was stopped by JJ.

"Hey, Janelle! Wait up!" JJ said, jogging to catch up with the girl, as she turned her head to meet with his eyes, showing him he had her attention.

"Hey, JJ. What's Up." Janelle wondered aloud.

"Just wanted to know if you were going to come with us to the spot tonight. I'm doing the Muy Fuego Wing Challenge, so what do you say? You can compete with me if you want?" JJ asked the girl. Janelle thought about it and nodded.

"Alright, I'll join," Janelle exclaimed, as she gave JJ a promising smile, returned the expression, and walked off, to the cheerful boys at the other side of the hallway, as she made her way into the girl's locker room.

The girl had been a little tired since this morning. Her father had called the night before, telling her that he was going to arrive next week, for the homecoming weekend. He even said he was going to attempt to show up to her game, and help chaperone the dance, so she had gotten minimal sleep last night. Nothing she couldn't handle, she could still head over to the sports bars where the team hangs out, she didn't want to miss out on JJ's wild side, she found him amusing.

Janelle headed to her car, in the school parking lot, as she saw Jordan sitting in his car. He looked to be as if he was lost, in thought, which he probably was. Janelle decided to talk to the Baker boy, and ask about the game.

"Hey, J!" Janelle was hunched over on the door of the red convertible, as she waved her hand in his face to get his attention.

Jordan Jumped a little in his seat, as he focused his attention on the hand in front of his face. His eyes trailed from the hand to the arm, of the being, and then his eyes met with the familiar chocolate brown eyes that made his heart swoon every time he started into them. He smiled as he saw the girl in front of him, and caused the girl's face to mirror the same expression.

"Hey Nells, you startled me there." Jordan looked at the girl, as she scoffed, and continued to smile.

"Yea, I see that. You seem a little out of it, J, anything wrong?" Janelle asked, fully attentive to Jordan, waiting for a responder from the boy. He just looked down at his steering wheel and looked back and, Janelle.
