Anna slammed her locker door shut and sighed, tired after her long day at school. She gathered all her books in her arms and started walking home, just as it started drizzling. Her stomach growled in hunger, she hadn't eaten anything since breakfast, as usual. She never got the chance to ask her mother for any lunch money since her mother left the house before she even leaves for school. And it was always the same thing every night; night shifts all the time. Anna's mother even worked at weekends, to earn whatever little she could.

Things were hard at home. Anna was used to it.

Anna unlocked the door to her empty house, she greeted by the silence, like always. After setting her books down, she made her way to the kitchen, taking out some frozen food and heating it up in the oven.

Anna's life didn't use to be like this. No, it was never like this, she was happy to back then, she was a normal child with a happy family. That was until one day that changed everything.

The day her father was murdered.

She didn't know how or who murdered her father, everytime she would try to talk to her mother about it, she would change the topic.
She used to live in a big house in the English countryside. She went to small but posh school nearby and had a pony as a pet. She had good grades in school and had a small group of friends. Sounds fun right? It was.

She returned home from school, when she was 10, only to be greeted by the gruesome sight of her father lying in a pool of blood and her mother sitting beside him, bawling her eyes out. Police cars were parked outside their perfect mansion, and she was gently pulled away from the crime scene by a motherly police figure. That was the last she saw of her father.

Her mother had to pack bags and leave the England countryside then. They couldn't afford to keep the Mansion and her mother couldn't afford on sending Anna to the posh, expensive primary school.

So, it was goodbye English Countryside and hello London.

Anna's mother, Mrs. Valentine, managed to find them a small two bedroom flat, in central London over a dusty old Fish & Chip place.
It was hard for Miss Valentine then, she had no job, nothing. She managed to get a job then, a job as a nurse, only she had to work all the time to earn whatever little money she could for her daughter and herself. The endless shifts began from then.

Anna was sent to a local primary school for a year, after which she went to secondary school.

Long, straight thick glossy hair, the color of ebony framed Anna's face. And if that wasn't enough he has sweet chocolate brown eyes, a shade of honey, that anyone could melt into.

She was a bright 16-year-old, she could have been friends with people if she wanted to, but she pushed them away because she was always insecure. She was beautiful, she was envied for her looks but she was a loner. She only had one best friend, Emily.

Anna wanted to be loved, not the kind of love you get from your mother or best friend, but the kind of love you get from someone special. Some that are meant just for you.

Anna wanted nothing more than to be loved.

Only she didn't know that she was loved.

She was loved and desired by someone, someone who was dark and twisted that would do anything to get Anna.
