Synopsis

In 10th century, the mentor of Esther Mikaelson, the witch named 'Ayanna' taught her a spell. It was a spell to summon a god for a child.

Esther wanted to test the spell and used this spell to summon the greek god of the sea. Nine months after day, Esther gave birth to a beautiful boy. He was named 'Perseus' after the request of his biological father. The day Perseus was born, Poseidon visited Esther secretly to see the child. He made Esther to swear on the river Styx that she will never reveal his parentage and about the Greek mythology to anyone. She also swore to send Perseus to Camp Half-blood, when he turned 12.

After Giant war, Artemis and Apollo turned him into a wolf as a gift. 2 years after the Giant war, Henrik was killed by werewolves. Mikael forced Esther to turn his children into vampires.

After turning into the creatures of night, When Niklaus made his first kill this werewolf side was triggered. Enraged by the betrayal of Esther, Mikael forced her to bind the werewolf side of Niklaus.

For 1000 years, Mikael hunted his children. Perseus being the strongest of the originals (part vampire, part werewolf and part demigod) protected his siblings from the wrath of Mikael. In Mystic Falls, Klaus called Perseus to come back to Mystic Falls and help him break his curse.
