As the sun sets down and the rise of darkness appeared, the three decided to head for a motel when they arrived in Winthrop that night, Beca sat at the back seat while Jane was the one who was driving and Chloe sat at shotgun, talking to Maura on the phone.
"Yes Mom... I don't exactly know how long. It's alright mom, I'm pretty sure Beca nor Mami Jane will let me get in trouble of something, yeah no, please, you be careful there, you'll be all alone at home and that's concerning for me enough. Yes, okay, Ma wants to talk to you." Chloe handed Jane the phone as she stopped on a redlight and smiled at her daughter.
"Okay, Maur... No, of course I'll keep her safe, she's our little angel... I'm pretty sure if it isn't you who'll kill me it'll be Mitchell, of course, love you too wifey, stay safe. Bye." Jane smiled and hanged up before she drove on to their destination, when the redlight turned to green again.
While on the trip to Winthrop, Beca kept herself busy with her laptop and headset in the backseat taking the whole sit by leaning at the right door and feet at the top resting by the seats, leaving the two mother and daughter to themselves as she isolates herself on her work.
"Don't have any calls receive, Becs?"Chloe asked, taking a glance at the brunette who was engrossed on her laptop, which was the reason as to why Chloe received no reply," Beca!" She tried again, thinking that yelling would work, but it startled Jane beside her who swerved a little before taking a tight grip of the wheel.
"Jesus, Chloe, the driver is just beside you." Jane chided the redhead who looked at her apologetically.
"Sorry, It's just because a certain person likes to isolate herself."She said referring to Beca. She glanced at the brunette but the brunette's eyes is still fixed on her computer screen. She took off her seat belt and moved to the back removing Beca's feet from the seat and made herself comfortable. But the brunette just ignored her though, even though the action made her give an annoyed grunt. With no more patience she took the brunette's headphone off her ear which made the Midget look at her with shock, immediately moving back.
"Jesus, Chloe, what do you want?"Beca asked, clutching her chest as her heart felt like it might beat out of her chest.
"I want you to listen to me."Chloe stated, making Beca look at her a little confuse.
"Oookay." The brunette trailed, not really sure what to respond.
"What are you doing?"The redhead asked taking a peek on the screen but didn't make anything out because the brunette already exit the app and shut the laptop faster than flash could do so.
"None of your business."Beca said sitting properly now, facing the road and not the redhead as she blushed.
"Come on, Becs, please?"Chloe pouted knowing too well that Beca can't stand the pout.
"Ohh,no. Not the pout. Not the pout."Beca chanted under her breath, closing her eyes.
Minutes later she opened it and saw the ginger still pouting, with her blue pupils pleading, "Fine. I'm making a mix."
"A mix? wait a music mix? A mash-up?"Chloe asked, astonish as she found out about the girls hidden talent and love for music.
Beca only nodded.
"Can I hear some?"Chloe asked hopeful, because she would really love to know what kind of music the girl likes.
"Umm..."Beca was reluctant, she never let anyone hear her mix, even her parents but Chloe is something special to her so she nodded and smiled, but the fear of failure is still sticking it's hideous head out.
