She was sure she'll beat the person ringing her doorbell right now, it was 3 in the fucking morning and she was pretty lacking in the sleep department due to the fact that it took time for her to focus on work and actually finish her report. Silently grumbling under her breath, she took her silk robe from the closet door and put it on, walking grumpily into her living room, she took a peak at the peephole.

She didn't hesitate nor thought of murder after recognizing the curtain of red hair that covered the face of her girlfriend. Chloe obviously didn't catch much sleep either as she looked up and faced Beca, her eyes were reddish and were sporting the 'never there' eyebags, she didn't bother to put make-up on, but Beca still thinks she looks pretty.

"Jesus, Chlo... It's three in the morning, people get killed often at three in the mor-" Before Beca could even finish her scolding, she felt Chloe's arms surrounded her slowly, like the redhead as actually hesitant to hold her again.

It was so slow it was almost painful, it was so careful Beca barely felt it, but she did and she pulled Chloe closer. Her clothes were cold due to the fact that it was nearing winter and Chloe obviously trudge the cold night to get to her apartment. Pulling her inside, Beca took the redhead's coat from her and then lead her to her bedroom, Chloe barely letting out a word as she looked more worn-out that Beca felt.

"Do you want tea, Chlo?" Beca asked softly now, letting the redhead seat on the edge of her bed as she kneeled down to take off the redhead's boots.

"I wanna talk." Chloe said, which made Beca pause.

Her heart thrummed in her chest as she realized Chloe probably thought over and over in her head on how to break up with Beca, realizing there's no way of breaking up with her without breaking her heart and leaving a wounded girl. Chloe was someone who'd feel bad for making someone feel bad despite it that she's only doing it for the best.

Beca wasn't ready though. She was scared. She had issues.

After she was left to fend for herself, Beca became aloof with everyone, trying to stay unattached and pushing people away. She was scared of being abandoned, it made her feel like she wasn't enough. And she built her esteem back up through the years, but it wasn't uncommon for insecurities to rise back up and overwhelm her.

"You're tired, Chlo... We can talk tomorrow morning, a proper sleep will help you clear your head." Beca said instead.

She was determined to stall the end. At least for tonight. She was wrong of thinking that Chloe is going to break up with her for reason's she doesn't know. But she's pretty fucking sure she's in love with Chloe, and she's pretty fucking sure she hasn't loved someone that wholely in years. So knowing that someone you love so much might go away, that made Beca want to hold on tighter.

But she also knew that Chloe was no one's but herself's, so Beca could at least stall it. She just want one more night if that was the case.

Chloe mercifully agreed, taking off her sweater and her jeans, leaving her white tee's on and her underwear, Beca shed off her silk robe and watched for a moment as Chloe got in her bed, trying to carve it in her memory before following suit. The redhead turned her back to Beca and hummed when she felt the brunette's arms wrap around her.

After tossing and turning in her bed earlier, Chloe finally had the sleep she so desired earlier that night.

Beca couldn't sleep, so she didn't. She observed Chloe while she slept, creepy as it may seem, she didn't care at that moment, she wanted to store this moment in her head... In her heart. Sometime in the night, Chloe turned to face the brunette, still asleep. She looked less tired and more peaceful than earlier, she looked so troubled earlier Beca thought she has to take Chloe in the hospital to check her mentality.
