JIM'S POV:
I yawned loudly and rubbed my eyes. Man I dozed off. Can't help it, it's like uhhh bedtime o'clock. I moved a little, only to hear a tiny groan.
I opened my eyes and saw (y/n) against my lap.
If only you knew how much I'm blushing right now (y/n)... I must've tugged on her hair on accident.
I gently tucked her hair behind her ear as she slept. She started to smile, and I smiled back down at her.
She is truly beautiful. I've noticed Silver's weird behavior. I looked up at the stars, leaving a soft hand just underneath (y/n)'s chin. I wonder what that's all about...
That's when I felt her move and groan, waking up.
"Mm..are we there yet?"
I chuckled and moved my hand, scooting away from her. "Not yet. We still have a week and five or six days."
(Y/n) groaned in response. I lightly punched her shoulder. "Hey, at least I'll be here."
She smiled and yawned. "I guess we dozed off."
I smiled back a little. "Yeah, but that's okay. We gotta go to bed anyways, I'll show you the sleeping arrangements. If they're still in the same room. They should be." I ranted because I was nervous.
She stood up and stretched. "Yeah I still gotta get up and do those stupid barnacles in the morning."
I grabbed all our belongings and stood up as well. "Again. You're not doing those alone. If you don't let me help, I promise you, you'll be doing barnacles for the entire trip. Trust me. They get bad under the ship."
She stayed in a weird position, thinking. Her left leg was still in the crow's nest, but she was half-way holding onto the rope next to us, with her right leg steadying herself on the rope. "...yeah you're right."
"I usually am. Now come on, Sleeping Beauty."
She smiled and carefully climbed her way down. I put my book and her sketchbook in my mouth and climbed down, making sure I didn't step on (y/n)'s fingers.
At the bottom, I took the stuff out of my mouth and turned to (y/n). "(Y/n)?"
(Y/n) was leaning against the shrouds, staring up at the sky. I slowly stepped over to her.
"Jim?"
"Yeah?" I stepped closer.
"...do you think...I'll be able to finally meet my parents..?"
"Yeah. 100%." I stared directly up at her. My head was pointed up as if I was staring at the sky too.
"..."
"What's bothering you?" Sorry, but it's obvious.
"...do you think...they would..want to see me?"
I felt a raindrop on my face. I wiped it off and rubbed it in between my fingers. What..is it rai..ah noooo! She's crying!
I was about to climb the shrouds, but she stopped me. "Don't. I'm about to get down." She sniffled and climbed down, rubbing her nose from time to time.
Once she made it to the bottom, I half-hugged her and rubbed her shoulder and arm. "Of course they wanna see you. You were basically taken, or kidnapped from your world. Your home. They'll be overjoyed to see you."
"What about your dad?"
"Huh??" I pulled away abruptly.
She looked up, confused. "I don't see your dad around, and you never speak about him. I was wondering if he's lost too."
