JIM'S POV:
Okay...just don't upset her, and I'll be fine! Yeah, right. I have NO idea how to talk to a girl. Hell, the only two I talk to are Amelia and Mom! And we don't talk about..Ka...her. She doesn't exist to me.
I made it to the last step and sighed. "Morph, do you remember what Doc said?"
Morph, my tiny pink friend, flew out of my pocket and yawned.
"Oh, sorry. I guess you didn't. I guess we'll figure it out ourselves." I started to walk left of the hallway.
Morph followed behind, gurgling because of excitement.
I opened the first door I saw- nope. Bathroom. Who closes a bathroom door when it's empty? I shook my head and closed it back, then walked on.
Morph got bored quickly and flew in another direction.
I opened another door. Nu uh. The twin boys' room. Maybe she's on the right side? I quietly closed the door because Jib was sleeping in the crib. I sighed and whispered, "where the heck is her room?"
Just then, Morph popped out of nowhere and was excitedly chirping and gurgling fast. I couldn't keep up with him. I laughed. "Hold on, hold on. Slooooow down."
Morph took a breath and gurgled, "I found her."
"Oh. Where?"
He chirped, a bit concerned, rubbing his little hands together.
"The roof?" I made my way to Doc's planetarium and opened the dome a bit. I peaked through, looking at the roof. My eyes searched across it, then they rested on a sad-looking girl, on the edge of the roof, throwing pebbles and watching them go down a neighbor's roof. "Oh. No wonder you're so worried. Well, it does look like she's on the left side. We were right about that, but it looks like she's on the far end. Let's go."
I stepped away and closed the dome. Morph took the lead, and I followed him. I know this sounds crazy....but maybe Morph? might know a thing or two about talking to women...no no. He's just a morph... I looked up at him.
A tiny morph.
A tiny pink morph..
A tiny pink cute morph...
I stared ahead of us. Shit. Do I really need help from....a morph??
When I got to her door of her bedroom, I breathed in and knocked thrice. "Um, (y/n), I'm coming in, don't freak out please."
No answer.
I opened the door and came inside her room. "Come on, Morph."
Morph followed, curious about her room. I clicked my tongue at him. "No..! We're not here to go through her room, we're here to see if she's okay.." I turned, looking up, and seeing an opening to the roof. I mumbled, "...and to talk to her.."
I turned back to Morph, and saw him admiring her drawings on the wall. "Morph, what did I just say? We gotta see if she's okay because Doc-"
"So you're checking up on me because you were asked to, not because you want to. Classic." Her voice was sharp, I didn't even realize she could hear me. That's when I looked around.
She barely has a room, the heck? I mean, she does have a bed and a dresser, but she doesn't even have a desk, or a bookshelf. And that's crazy because I'm sure she's surrounded by books all the time. I turned the other way, looking around. A small mirror, a busted up Solar Surfer, and piles of books. The hell did she do to that surfer?? Damn, it needs some serious repair...
