(Y/N)'S POV:
"(y/n) (y/m/n) Doppler, did you hear me!?"
I groaned as I looked up from my picture book about other galaxies. There, there was a somewhat mad Amelia, hands on her hips and tapping her foot.
"Young lady, don't ignore your mother!"
I sat there puzzled. "I wasn't ignoring, I simply didn't hear you, and last time I checked, you're not my real mom. If you were, I would actually look like you and not a human, or you would have powers like me."
Amelia was taken aback, and I could definitely tell, from my sudden outburst. She must've forgotten about earlier. Amelia watched as I went back to my book and propped my feet up on the chair's arm casually.
Just about the same time, I heard the front door open and close. Dad must be back. There were whispering from another voice, though. A voice I haven't heard. Because I was purposely ignoring Mom, Amelia slammed my door and stormed off. I could hear her boots roughly clicking against the wooden floor. I sighed and cracked my door, still curious with the new people Dad brought home.
I could hear him nervously laughing. "Amelia must've tried to talk to her, but failed. Let me go fetch her."
Fetch? Huh??
Dad made his way upstairs. I quickly got away from my door and flopped on my bed, so he wouldn't know that I was trying to sneak a peak. I went back to my picture book, bored.
"Knock, knock." He said before coming in. "Hey (n/n)..."
I looked over my shoulder. "Hey Dad.." I turned back to my book.
He sighed and walked up to me. "There's someone who really wants to meet you."
I peeked up. "Really? Who?"
He smiled and opened my door. "Come on and find out."
We walked downstairs and already I could see a boy with a rat tail hairdo going on. Is that him? Is that who wanted to see me? What's that thing floating around him? Some sort of transparent floating frog? When we made it to the last step, I saw a woman. She's pretty, she must be the boy's mother. She looked up at me, and saw my small figure with my rosy cheeks, flushed by embarrassment, and weird purpley eyes.
The woman instantly smiled. I avoided her eye contact. Change normal change normal change normal!
On the other hand, the boy looked flabbergasted. His eyes were as large as saucers and his mouth was wide open. I wonder what he's thinking about. He's kinda staring....it's making me uncomfortable. As if on cue, he cleared his throat and stared down at the floor.
Suddenly, the woman quickly walked over to me and engulfed me in a hug. "Oh sweetheart, you're so adorable! My name is Sarah, Delbert's best friend. You wanna sit down and get to-"
I pulled away with all my might and blushed in anger. Who the fuck does she think she is??! Grabbing me and squeezing the life outta me! I balled my fists and glared at Doc. "You told me I couldn't go outside, but you think it's handy dandy to bring your overly touchy friends over?! Do you really think that's fair??"
Doc brought his hands up in surrender. "I-In my defense, I only went over there to get advice a-and-"
I shot him a death glare. "You know how I hate affectionate hugs, you didn't think to ya know WARN them how I'm like? Maybe even the things I don't like!"
I could feel smoke in my palms. Shitshitshit Before I could produced a spark in front of them, I turned around and sprinted upstairs once more to my bedroom.
