{chapter 12}

Aang pulled up in front of Katara and Sokka's house. "Are you sure you don't want me to stay? I mean if it's true that your getting kicked out I don't want to leave you alone with no place to go." Aang said. "Thanks for caring but I'm okay really. It's late and we have school tomorrow you should go home and get some rest. Thanks for letting me hang out at your place for a while." Katara started to get out the car but Aang grabbed onto her wrist. "Can I have a kiss?" Aang asked. "No. We aren't dating. Neither of us know what we are, it would only confuse you more." "Me? Why just me?" Aang asked. "Because I know what I want. I want to be with you. But obviously you don't know what you want." Katara yanked her hand away from him got out the car and slammed the door shut. Aang sighed and laid his head on the steering wheel. "I'm such an idiot."

Katara walked into the house and saw Haru and Malina talking to eachother and laughing. She saw Hakoda in the kitchen pouring 3 drinks of wine. And didn't see her brother anywhere. "WHAT IS THIS SHIT THAT I HEAR YOUR KICKING US OUT?!" Katara screamed. "AND YOU!" Katara pointed to Haru. "I THOUGHT YOU WERE IN MY SIDE! WHAT ARE YOU DOING LAUGHING WITH THESE PEOPLE!" Haru slowly approached Katara. "Katara listen I am on your side. I don't agree with anything they are doing, so I smoothed it over. Once you and Sokka can get along with Malina then you could move back in. And besides we can't be together if I don't have you dad and your step moms blessing." Haru said. "WE ARE NEVER GOING TO BE TOGETHER. AND SHES NOT MY STEP MOM! AND IM EMBARRASSED TO CALL THAT DISGUSTING DOG MY FATHER!" Katara screamed. "KATARA! That's no way to speak about your father!" Malina yelled. "OH SHUT UP YOU WHORE!" Hakoda slammed his hands on the table. "THIS IS EXACTLY WHY YOU AND YOU UNGRATEFUL BROTHER ARE BEING KICKED OUT!" Hakoda yelled. Katara ran upstairs to find her brother. She was crying uncontrollably. "Sokka?!" Katara yelled. "I'm here in my room!" Sokka yelled. Katara ran into his room and saw him sobbing on the floor. "Oh Sokka I'm so sorry!" Katara sat on the floor and hugged her brother. He hugged her back. "It's okay." Then Haru walked into the room. "Katara what the hell was that! I'm trying to help you and your making this very difficult!" Haru whispered yelled. "You know what Haru? You should have been gone. You should have left the day after the party. You over stayed your welcome. You need to leave." Katara said. Haru crossed his arms. "If you try to kick me out I will go to the police. I'm doing all this because I love you Katara can't you see that?! Katara slowly stood up. This was her breaking point. She looked him in the eyes. "If you go to the police, I will kill you. Slow and painful just like I did Meng. But this time, it will be on purpose not by accident. I will let you burn just like she did. I will beat you until your bones are broken, then I will tie you to a chair and soak you in gasoline. Then I will let you burn. So I advise you." Katara slowly approached a terrified/turned on Haru. "If you want to live, leave. And never speak of this, or me, ever again. Me and you had a fight. I'm a bad influence and you don't want to talk to me anymore. You have no idea who Meng is, or what happened to her. And this conversation never happened. Do you understand?" Haru kept taking steps back as Katara got closer. He hit the wall. "Do you, understand?" Katara asked again. Haru didn't answer. Katara grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and slammed him against the wall. "ANSWER ME!" Katara screamed. "Yes ma'am." Haru smirked. Katara let go of him. "Now get in your car and drive away." Haru was about to walk out the door but Katara grabbed him by the back of his shirt. "What happened don't want me to leave?" Haru smirked. "Your going to climb through the window. If they see you leaving they will ask you to stay it's quite obvious that Malina likes you. Climb down the tree get in your car and drive HOME." Katara said sternly. Haru followed all her instructions except one. He didn't go home.

Katara helped Sokka pack some of their things. "Katara remember we can't bring to much stuff we have to be in the car and won't have a lot of space until we find a place to stay." Sokka said. "No we won't I can use the money I was saving for college we can get a room at a motel for a couple of nights." Katara said. "No Katara that's for college." "This is more important. I can always go to college later on In life." Sokka sighed. "Okay. I will use the money that I was saving up too." They were getting ready to walk out the door. "You ready for this sis?" Sokka asked. "Yup, you and me a team forever." Katara held her hand up. "Always." Sokka grabbed her hand. They started walking down the steps. Both of them had a large backpack and two other large bags. Neither Sokka or Katara made eye contact with Malina or Hakoda as they were passing them. "I'm doing this for your own good kids. You need to learn to respect your adults." Hakoda said as they walked out the door and slammed it shut.
