{chapter 14}

Katara looked up and saw Chan. "Chan?" Katara asked. Chan sat down next to Katara. "That's my name." Chan joked. Katara rolled her eyes. "You didn't do anything to deserve everything your going through, sometimes life is a bitch." Chan said leaning against the tree. Katara sat up. "What do you mean everything I'm going through?" Katara panicked. Chan lightly chuckled. "Your mom, your scar, the murder which I'm guessing was Meng, you getting kicked out, and then you said this." Katara sighed. "He just thinks your mourning her not that you killed her." Katata reassured herself. "Talk it out. From the way you looked a couple minutes ago, your holding everything in. Let it out, talk to me." Chan said. "Now why would I talk to you? I don't even know you, and I don't know if you remember but I don't like you. Like I said before, your hella annoying." Katara said. "I'm just saying, I'm here and I'm not gonna judge you. Just let it out, you look like you've already hit your breaking point. You don't wanna sink deeper, trust me." Katara looked at Chan and sighed. "My Father was addicted to Gambling and because of that my mother was murdered and me and my brother were forced to watch. I met a guy named Haru and we became really good friends. I moved here and I got invited to a party by Aang. I didn't like him at this time. I brought Haru and the rest of my friend group with me. Me and Aang had a good time and were on good terms. We became friends and went on a date. Haru confessed his feelings for me and I rejected him. Me and Aang's date went well I had a good time, I really thought he liked me. Anyways then my Father got engaged to a girl he probably met 7 hours ago. Me and My brother were trying to get him to call the wedding off and because of that we got our car taken away and kicked out of the house. And Meng died and that's sad." Katara said. She didn't feel any better. Mostly because she didn't really let everything out. "Damn im sorry Katara. But nothin that happened to you was your fault. And if you don't mind me asked you said you 'thought Aang really liked you, what happened?" Chan asked. "I texted him today and asked him if I could hang out at his house for a while. And he said yes, guess he forgot I was coming over because when I get there Tylee opens the door in only her bra and underwear." Katara's eyes started to water but she wouldn't let a tear fall. Chan turned his body to face hers. "Cry." Katara looked at Chan. "Excuse me?" Chan looked into her eyes. "I said cry. Holding it in will only make it worse, you need to cry." Katara covered her eyes. "I don't like to cry." "Well you need too, crying makes us human. If you don't cry something if wrong with you." Katara sadly smiled and let her tears fall. "What's up with you huh?" Katara said taking a tissue from her pocket. "What do you mean?" Chan asked. "I mean why are you being so nice? Oh no your another one of those guys. One way in school completely different outside of school." Chan laughed. "I'm not like that. I would have done this in school. And I would have asked you out even if we weren't in school." Katara laughed. "Yeah okay." Katara wiped her eyes. "Can I give you my number?" Chan asked. "Yeah sure." The two exchanged phone numbers. Katara stood up. "Oh no I left my backpack in the front of Aang's house! You know what? Fuck it I don't need it anyways." Chan laughed. "Oh hey Katara do you and your brother still need a place to stay? Because I have a huge house and I live alone." Katara smiled. "Thanks Chan, I will think about it." Katata then started walking back in the direction of the motel.

Katata got to the motel and was attacked by her brother. "Katara what the hell where have you been?" Sokka asked. "I was walking to Aang's house but then I found out he was having sex with Tylee so I threw my backpack on the ground and walked away. I ended up sitting by a tree and crying. Then Chan came up too me and made me feel better. And he offered for me and you to live there!" Katara said happily. "Okay first of all fuck Aang, second fuck Tylee, and three that is awesome let's get out of the motel so you can stop using you college funds!" The two siblings cheered and packed their things.

Katara called Chan and he said he was coming to pick them up. Once he arrived they all hopped in his car and drive to his house.

They made it to Chan's house and picked out their rooms. Sokka's room was next to Chan's and Katara's room was next to Sokka's. Chan decided to order pizza. The pizza arrived and they all sat down on the couch. "Thanks so much Chan. This means the world to us." Katara said. "Seriously dude thanks." Sokka said while stuffing his face with pizza. After all finished eating everyone went to their rooms.
