Jahaziel's POV
Was my choice already made? Was it so obvious when I gazed upon this creature? Perhaps it would help me save Aaron and Hannah from whatever original fate was set for them. But something felt so wrong with this entire situation. It was if it was too good to be true in a way.
For Aaron to take that book and throw caution out the window was strange. But now he's seemingly fallen to madness, and conveniently this being comes to offer assistance. I couldn't believe it, and I wouldn't believe it no matter how much I would prefer an option where we could all walk away from this unscathed.
So for a moment I stood there, looking at the abomination before me. It referred to me as if I were its superior, as if it were a servant to me. But if that were true, such a sickening thing would be disowned by me. I'd have to be a fool to accept the help of this creature, and I am no fool.
The very form of it told me that it was nothing but an utter monster. The situation in itself was played out like a scheme of sorts. As if each part had its place in an intricate plan that served a larger purpose. I knew my answer the moment I saw this atrocious thing. I would rebuke this horror, and I would deal with the situation myself. No matter what happens, I will take full responsibility for all of it.
(Take notes Magnus)
Jahaziel: Begone you disgusting abomination, leave this place! Leave me and this world!
????: Very well, it was your choice.....
The creature then vanished from sight as time resumed. I had only a moment to react before Aaron decided to attack once more. Launching myself at him, I tore the book from his hands and ripped it in two.
Aaron: NO! You bastardized heap of trash!
He then fired an arc of lightning at me from his fingertips. However, I negated the attack with a barrier before charging at him. I knocked Aaron into his desk, causing everything on it to fall off. As I looked upon my battered foster father, I began thinking of how I can try to help him see reason. But then something began viciously clawing at my back.
I turned to see what it was, to my horror it was my own foster mother. Hannah herself had the look of a mutated abomination as her elongated nails scratched my skin. I lashed back and sent her into the wall as I couldn't contain my anger.
Aaron: "You cannot save her! You have no power over the Architect of Fate! This is our destiny!" he shouted before coughing up some blood
I gazed into his very soul, to see only corruption. So much that it was beyond the point of salvation. I couldn't help but wince at the very fact that I could not save Aaron. He was so important to me, he was who my brother and I called father when we were growing up.
Jahaziel: It is not your fate, I see that you cannot be saved Aaron. I am so sorry.....
Within a moment, I grabbed him and snapped his neck with relative ease. It pained me inside deeply, killing the man who had raised me and my brother. He taught us so much when we were growing up, so many life lessons.
As his body fell to the floor, I grabbed Hannah and forced her onto the ground. Aaron had fallen into his own sense of madness, but Hannah was seemingly possessed. If I could, I would save her from this dreadful fate. She screeched at me as I stared into her eyes.
Her soul was a cacophony of whirling chaos of her own and the daemon inside of her. I channeled all the power I knew I had, for I had only gone so far into my studies of my gifted abilities. I forced my power against the daemon possessing Hannah, my mother.....
