A war of unification was being waged on the world of Terra. The birth world of mankind, torn apart by techno barbarians. But one man had sought to bring the world under his rule and unite humanity. As the war had began coming to a close, he had commenced a project.

This would be known as the Primarch project. A project that would give way to the sons of the Emperor of Mankind. They would be the leaders and gene-fathers of the space marine legions. The Emperor would work closely with a perpetual known as Erda to create his sons. Combining both their genes, the primarchs were created.

As the baby primarchs formed in their gestation capsules, the Emperor revealed something to Erda. To her dismay, she would have no part in their lives. As the Emperor prepared for the Great Crusade, Erda dismayed at the thought of the future of the primarchs.

She would be exploited by the four gods of Chaos, who sought to sabotage the Emperor's plans. Erda was manipulated into creating a warp vortex that scattered the primarchs. As the Emperor soon found out about this, his sons were being sent through the warp.

Each son would be cast towards a different planet, with the warp mutating some of them. In one capsule, there were two sons of the Emperor within. A crack had formed in the capsule and allowed much warp energy to flood in. But one of them had seemingly soaked in most of the energy in order to protect his brother.

It was unknown what mutations would afflict the primarch. But as energy of the warp flowed into him, something else was in the making. All the while, the gestation capsule would exit the warp and come crashing towards what the primarchs would call their homeworld.

The planet of Yerushalaim, one that had been torn apart. Figuratively of course, the world was embroiled in absolute civil war. Each side was fighting for their ideologies or religious beliefs. But no matter what, behind each motive of each faction was something far more sinister than what they'd care to admit to.

Amidst all the chaos was the nation state simply called Sanctuary. This place stood as a beacon of hope and refuge for many fleeing from each warring nation. Many of those who fled there were religious pilgrims or ideological opposition facing their own type of persecution.

Soon genocides of people fleeing to Sanctuary were common on the planet of Yerushalaim. In time, Sanctuary soon found itself surrounded by enemies. The nation state was able to muster a small army in order to defend itself. But with larger armies crashing down from all sides, they were simply delaying the inevitable.....

Some of the people of Sanctuary and its surrounding territories prayed. They prayed for anyone who would listen to them. Anyone to bring them salvation and avenge their fallen. And soon their prayers would be answered as a capsule came crashing down towards the planet.

3rd Person POV

Within a small city in Sanctuary, a couple could be seen together. A man and woman who spent their days working day in and day out to provide for themselves. The man was known as Aaron who was a curious scholar that was declared as an infidel. He lived with his wife Hannah, a former priestess who once faced persecution.

The two were outside their home, thinking on what to do. There was the possibility Aaron might be forced into the army. Hannah knew it'd mean certain death, it was something she didn't want. The two were in an awkward silence until Aaron broke it by mentioning something he had heard earlier that day.

Aaron: "The men of the Wolustraten Hegemony attacked the west yesterday. Otto told me earlier at his shop" he said solemnly while fiddling with a vial

Hannah: What of the army? Were they unable to stop their advance?

Aaron: They were overrun, the soldiers meant to reinforce them didn't make it in time. The council withdrew them back to the capital city to make sure they were kept safe.....
