Shotaro POV

Shotaro was seated on his bed, reading a book

Ring

Shotaro looked over at his phone that had started ringing

Shotaro smiled as he saw the contact name

Yuta🌺    Is calling......

Shotaro picked up his phone, sliding to answer, placing the phone to his ear

"Hello Yuta!"

"Hey kiddo!"

"What's up, why are you calling?"

"Uhmm.."

Yuta's voice fell, and so did Shotaro's smile, as he heard the change in Yuta's voice

"What .... What's wrong Yuta?"

"Well......"

"What Yuta, tell me."

"Chenle he...."

"What, What is it, tell me Yuta, tell me!"

"He woke up."

"Oh my gosh thank goodness."
Shotaro sighed from relief

"Which means...."

"Y'all can return?!"

"No, not yet, the doctors say he has to stay there for another month or so, he's in stable  condition, but they want to keep him for a while just to make sure."

Shotaro smiled widely
"So I'll be able to see you again?"

"Yeah, if everything works out, we'll see eachother again very soon."

Tears fell from Shotaro's eyes, joyous tears

"Now, I have to go, I just wanted to make sure you knew that, tell the others."

"Of course, bye Yuta."

"Goodbye Taro."

Shotaro hung up the phone and lept for joy

Kun walked into his room
"Why so joyful?"

"CHENLE WOKE UP!"
Shotaro hugged Kun tightly

"HE DID?!"

"YES! Yuta just called me and said he woke up, THEY'RE COMING BACK KUN, THEY'RE COMING BACK!!!"

Kun smiled and hugged Shotaro back

Shotaro POV

About 15 minutes later the rest of the members were also celebrating

Shotaro and Kun left to go to school again

Kun and Shotaro sat down in the cafeteria, Shotaro looked around

"Where's Sungchan?"

"He might be late it's ok."

Kun said, biting into his sandwich

Shotaro nodded and started to eat

5 minutes later, and Shotaro had begun to worry, Sungchan was always there for lunch

If Sungchan wasn't at lunch, then something must be wrong

"I'm going to go to the bathroom, ok Kun?"

Kun nodded, and Shotaro got up and left the cafeteria

Looking around for Sungchan, he glanced in every classroom, the bathrooms, and searched every hall

Shotaro was panicking, where was Sungchan??

Shotaro approached the door that opened to the staircase that led to the rooftop, Shotaro noticed that the usual lock that was always on the door, wasn't there anymore

Shotaro hesitantly opened the door, and walked up the steps

Walking onto the rooftop he looked around

Shotaro gasped as he saw Sungchan standing on the short brick wall that was wrapped around the roof

Sungchan had his back turned to Shotaro, and was looking down at the ground below

"Sungchan?"

Sungchan looked around at Shotaro, Shotaro felt his heart fall as he looked at Sungchan's puffy red face, and tear stained cheeks

"Shotaro?"

"Why are you up there Sungchan, what's wrong?"

"I... I'm doing what my parents wanted."

"No, Chan, your parents don't want this."

"Yeah... Yeah they do."

"Why on earth would they want this Sungchan?"

"Because, they always said be like my sister, she was always their favorite, she got into an amazing collage for performing arts, 'be like your sister Sungchan' She got a job under a big company 'be like your sister Sungchan' she got great grades, had lots of friends 'be like your sister Sungchan' She got married to a nice rich man, who could support her, and us 'if you were only your sister'...... She always acted happy.... She always told me that she was happy... And then today we got the call .... She killed herself... Her boyfriend found her hanging from the ceiling of their house..."

Sungchan took a long pause, before inhaling a shaky breath

"They always wanted me to be just.like.her.... so why don't I just follow in her footsteps like they wanted... Why don't I just kill myself.... Just.... Like.... Her."

"Sungchan no...don't... Don't do that... Please."

Sungchan turned back around to look at the ground

"Sungchan please."

"Shotaro I'm going to jump."

"No Sungchan."

"Shotaro.... Don't stop me... Please."

Shotaro took a step forward, Sungchan didn't notice

Shotaro took another step

"Sungchan."

"No... Don't."

Shotaro took another step, he was so close to the other

"I'm sorry Shotaro."

Sungchan then took a step forward and off the ledge
