Once we had gathered , Isa had spoken. Her voice seeming to carry and declare that we were sticking together. We stood near each other warily now.

The girl that had ran into the clearing first answered,

"Defne ," she motioned then to her curly haired friend, " and this is Nadia", then a nod to the winged girl , "and that's Sara". She finished.

Then it was my turn, or at least Gaia spoke for me.

And then the last girl with the braids introduced herself as Rosie.

"We need to find somewhere to sleep, I don't think we're , well, in our world. I mean I've read about this stuff before , world jumping, and most of the time , we can't go back. So I'm thinking we find somewhere warm , and figure how to survive out here on our own , fast". The smaller girl with wings had spoken and in her I think we could all decide that maybe she was the most well versed in the sort of shit we were caught up in.

"Do you guys have powers too?" Gaia spoke , seeming to test if everyone had felt that strange stirring in their chest that matched my own.

"Yeah" Sara spoke first.

"We can all see that" Rosie replied.

"No I- I think I can also control the weather. I can feel a storm from a mile away and the droplets condensing from clouds even further, it's kinda freaking me out to be honest" she rushed that all out her mouth, like speaking it had been toxic.

"Mine is fire", Isa said to the group and nodding to the short girl in unspoken agreement.

"Shadow, darkness , and - I think - pain. I can feel all your pain and I can control it I think.", I said , though mine definitely sounded far more ominous than the others , the mention that I could control pain made everyone turn to me.

So I showed them. I let the darkness pool in my hands , and slowly relieved them of the pain our new bodies felt. They all seemed to sag with a tired relief after that.

"I think mine's got something to do with energy. Not really sure yet though", that was Defne. It made sense , while I was almost blending into the shadows bleeding through the trees, she was clear , almost glowing, and her voice was strong.

"Water", said the other girl , Nadia I think.

And then Rosie , with her quips , who had quietened when the circle turned to her, like she couldn't really believe the words she was about to speak .

"Metal , I can control it". We nodded.

"The earth and , plants I guess" , said Gaia. It made sense , I mean , her name meant Earth. Funny that we were so far from the Earth we knew though.

Suddenly my power flared , reacting to the dark seeping into the forest more. I could remember it clearly from when we had fallen. Those shadows that had wrapped around me had begun to course through my veins all over again.

We all nodded in quiet anticipation, we knew we had to follow the advice of Sara. Because no one else had any other more feasible ideas to what had happened to us.

We walked around the clearing pushing away twigs and the sort until Sara had moved her wings and they all got blown away from our feet . Defne used a small light from her palm to walk with Nadia to find fire wood. And the rest of us stood waiting for warmth to replace the empty feelings in our gut in silence.

Soon Isa had lit a fire , she had stood there trying hard to control her magic as we all gawked standing close by. It wasn't until the girl Sara had held up her hands and the wind calmed that the flame finally caught. Then there was Gaia , who seemed to speak to the earth. Moss and soft caressing grass began to cushion our feet , and the small clearing became closed off with swirling vines.
