Rosie had ran until her lungs felt near to collapse, her braids had formed a pool of sweat on her back that was slowly cooling in the chilling morning sun. She recalled what had happened trying to wrap her mind around the memories that were so vivid in her mind but yet so she found it so hard to believe they were real.

She remembered how she had sliced chasers apart using her blades to mince them with a thought. There body parts had tumbled to the floor and she had simply jumper over each one. This world was changing her. Already she thought differently to before, she was more cutting , more lethal. Maybe that explained why it was metal that she was drawn to.

She had followed the vines , trusting in Gaia's power, when suddenly hers had weakened and left her in this clearing. It had sunk into the ground in seconds , branching out like its power was fading. She was worried for Gaia. Had something happened that had caused her to tell the vines to go away.

She could hear footfalls approaching and was weary with the anticipation of a hunter and her cold sweat only made this worse , she was shivering.

When the newcomer ran into the clearing panting and out of breath Rosie was upon her in seconds with questions.

Defne had ran for what felt like forever after she had seen her three friends get caught behind by their fighting. She had tried to help, but she had been terrified , and she knew she had to abide by logic and keep running.

Nadia who had been right by her side had dissapeared in a flash to suck the water right out of two chasers bodies, their blood had pooled out like some hellish stream , and Nadia had told her to run and not look back. By the time she realised her head was quiet from the lack of her friend, she was too lost to go back. She regretted her choices now.

She had been following the vine a while now. And she heard Rosie's thoughts up ahead and slowed in relief.

"Where are the others" said Rosie hurriedly as soon as Defne's out of breath form had enter red the clearing.

"I dunno , I- I was with Nadia but I lost her , same with Gaia . I saw Sara flying at one point but I can't be sure. And I couldn't hear Arrchana and Isa's thoughts when they ran so I'm assuming they must be safe but I have no clue". She spoke it all in a panicked succession of breaths. Still trying to replace the breath's she had lost from running. She was leaned over her knees sucking in air.

At that same moment Arrchana and Isa seemed to jump into existence next to them in the clearing. Their sudden footfalls seeming as loud as a blaring megaphone with their new hearing. Especially for Defne who experienced their thoughts blaring in her head all of the sudden.

"Jesus , a little warning next time" , that was Defne.

"What the fuck is your problem" , hissed Rosie.

"Sorry , I didn't realise you didn't hear us, we were making a lot of noise" said Arrchana in response, looking at Isa as if to confirm. The red haired girl Isa nodded in agreement.

"Yeah, ya know, I think your power must hide everything , I couldn't even hear your thoughts earlier " said Defne.

"You can hear our thoughts all the time?" asked Isa , her eyes widening.

"Yep"

"Well shit"

"Guys , focus we have to find the others", said Rosie , interrupting Isa's startled reaction. Defne , Isa and Arrchana turned towards her at that. But it didn't last long.
