Isa —————-

Song: can you hear me- UNSECRET

Lorcan had woken later that day. I had tried and failed to move him out of bed until he finally gave in and stumbled over with me towards the plush dining couch further into the cavern. We were sitting there now, filling ourselves with rice and sauces and meat and everything we could get our hands on. I could tell he felt just as , or more, starving as me. Sleeping for a day without food wasn't really a great idea in terms of our health. Especially since he seemed still drained from the vision he had.

I had to ask about it now though. Had to see what had rattled his core that much, because I was worried. Were the others dead already, or at danger of dying soon. It must have had something to do with their capture.

We had theorised all week over where they had been taken and strategies to get them out. Lorcan had told us about the structure of the kingdom. That if the three of them had been taken by the king to the city already then all hope was lost.

But he had said there were several keeps outside the edges of all the kingdoms. We couldn't be sure they were anywhere though. Any leads Lorcan had ordered the soldiers to scour for in the woods seemed to stop short after a certain point.

They had fallen completely off the map.

Fuck, how did I ask this,

"Lorcan, you gonna tell me what you saw then?", he looked up then, peeling himself away from the food to stare at me surprised like a deer in headlights.

"Umm, I mean- I , well you see-", he stuttered then. His brows folding together in a kind of confusion.

"Out with it prince, I'm not gonna wait all day, or are you some kind of secret keeper", I spoke the last part in a mock whisper. His face lightened for a moment at that. But then I saw him plagued once again by the words that couldn't make their way past his lips.

"I had a vision of us, most of us. Including the others , and it wasn't good..."

"Go on", he had stopped and I needed to know , he was looking down now , his shoulders sunk inwards with a type of defeat I had never seen on him before, he had always been so nonchalant and carefree. Why wouldn't he just meet my gaze.

"It's bad Isa."

Well shit, if he didn't fucking tell m-

"I saw all of us, all jumbled together at different times,  and I know where the others are. They're in a massive keep by the city. And , I saw Gaia, is that your friend? I heard them speak her name, and I saw another girl, one with curly hair who's name wasn't spoken."

"Which girl with curly hair, did she have wings?"

"No , no definitely not", so it was Nadia then.

"And?"

"We get them out, but Gaia , she's not in good shape and- and I saw a winged girl too after all that, in the city ,taken by witches. There was more for her, terrible shit that's all fogged up in my memory now like a bad dream."

"The witches?"

"I know ,it's bad, but we have no hope of getting her out. I saw more, I saw what happens to her. And we'll get her back, just not yet, with the witches with their claws in her, it'd be hopeless. I have to follow exactly what happens in the vision and I guess you'll have to try and trust me. But I promise she'll end up back here. And the others are broken enough for us to handle until then, we'll have plenty to do."

"What do you mean Lorcan , please explain".

"Gaia, she was a captor of the Kings blade, they call him Fallor, he doesn't treat his prisoners well. I have seen what he did to stray travellers from our kingdom. Killing them just to hear a whisper of where people were disappearing to. Luckily he's never found us, but he's bad news "
