Miguel didn't want the day to end. He finally had Mateo and Eviana with him. Although he was still in prison, Miguel felt like he was home with them. He kept Mateo entertained with his random stories of his childhood. Eviana loved watching them interact. It was the most beautiful sight she had seen.

"And I remember my mom making me food like soup, but it wasn't everyday because we didn't have enough money." Miguel told his son.

"Alphabet soup?" Mateo questioned.

Eviana chuckled, running a hand through Mateo's head full of hair. "No, my beautiful boy. Your dad hates that kind."

Miguel scoffed. "Don't tell him that." He cupped his hand and whispered into Mateo's ear so only they could hear. "I love it. I make funny words everytime I eat it." Mateo giggled.

"Are you telling our son lies?"

Miguel felt his heart burst with joy hearing Eviana refer to Mateo as their son. He would never get tired of hearing it. Mateo was his son and he wanted everyone to know it. But of course relatives of the people Miguel hurt would get involved. He remembered the day someone sent a note to Eviana claiming that she was being watched. That day, he didn't let her out of the house in fear that something might happen to her.

"I would never." Miguel noticed that the sun was setting. At night, the streets of Mexico were dangerous. He certainly didn't want anything to happen to his son and Eviana. He knew Walt would be the one to drive her back to the hotel, but he still remained worried for their safety. "Listen, I think you should head back to the hotel. Get some food, sleep."

If Eviana was being honest, she didn't want to. Mateo was happy and so was she. It felt like the happiest day of her life was ruined when Miguel told her it was time to leave.

Mateo looked up at his dad with a frown. "Leave?"

Miguel was obviously sad that his time with his son was ending, but he wanted them to be safe. He knew too much about the crime in Mexico. "Yes, Mateo. Maybe another day, we can see each other in a better place."

Eviana rolled her eyes. "You make it sound like you're dying."

"Maybe not today." He said in a low voice.

Eviana stared at him. She needed to talk to him without having their son constantly shove his face in theirs. She looked at the guard then stood up. "Excuse me, could you keep an eye on him for a little bit. I need to have a talk with Miguel Ángel." The guard nodded. Eviana then grabbed Mateo's hand, making him stand up from his seat. "Mateo, you're going to be with this nice man for a bit okay? Mom has to have a talk with your dad."

Mateo looked confused, but followed the guard to a table far away from the one he was previously at.

Miguel keep his sight on his son. "What did you need to talk to me about?"
