Mateo didn't know where to begin. The beginning? No, he hardly remembered his childhood before his mom and him were living in the states. Did Miguel even know how old he was?

"Does your mom know you're here?" Miguel asked. He looked around wondering if by some miracle, Eviana was going to come in. But she never did.

"Probably, yeah. She didn't at first, but she might have the whole army looking for me." Mateo said.

"I bet. And I have a feeling that DEA guy isn't happy that you're here to see me."

"He's retired. Steve is Steve." Mateo replied.

"Why are you really here, mijo?" Miguel asked. He felt like this was a trap of some kind.

"I met you once years ago. You've been here for god knows how long. I've had this weird feeling for a year now that if I didn't see you now, I wouldn't be able to in the future. Then I read the articles. You're dying, aren't you?" Mateo didn't want to say the word, but he had to be mature about it.

"Yeah, I am," Miguel confirmed. "Does your mom know?"

"I don't know. She doesn't really turn on the news."

Miguel didn't blame her. Eviana wanted to build a new life and it meant that she didn't want to learn anything about narcos.

"You've grown so much. I know it's kinda stupid to say, but you're so tall." Miguel laughed at his own words.

"Yeah, I'm taller than mom by three inches. And I'm taller than Flora-" Mateo stopped himself. He forgot that Miguel didn't even know Eviana had another kid.

"Flora is your sister or your girlfriend?" He asked.

"She's my sister actually. I don't have a girlfriend." Mateo shyly said.

"Really? The son of Miguel Ángel Felix Gallardo doesn't have girls throwing themselves at him? I refuse to believe it."

"I just like staying home. I'm not exactly like you. Sorry." Mateo apologized.

"Nothing to be sorry about, son. I shouldn't have said that anyways. So about Flora, why is she named Flora? Evi once told me if she ever had a daughter, she was going to be named Camila." Miguel questioned. He then remembered that day that Eviana told him about their future family.

"Mom told me she was going to be named Camila, but last minute she changed it to Flora. Someone sent her her favorite flowers and she thought Flora suited her better than Camila." Mateo explained.

"So your mom did get my flowers after all. I was wondering if they even delivered them to the right hospital." Miguel chuckled. Miguel always knew about Flora Murphy, somehow Miguel always knew about everything.

"So you still run your business from here?" The teen asked.

"No, I just asked the guard if he would do me one last favor. I stopped once ny health started getting worse. I don't know who runs what now. Might be for the best."

Mateo didn't question it. He was tired of it all. He wanted his normal family, but he knew that having a normal family was never an option for him.

Miguel stared at the boy. Mateo looked like a younger version of Miguel except for the hair. The hair was all Eviana. She had naturally curly hair and Mateo definitely got that.

"I'm so sorry for everything I did. I could've watched you grow up." Miguel apologized.

"You did some bad things. Worse things."

"I know. I deserve everything bad thatd ever happened to me. But I would've killed to watch you say your first word, watch you take your first steps or take you to your first day of school." Miguel began to tear up.

"Would've doesn't exist, that's what mom says."
