As mom drove down a road I had never seen before, I watched my brother. Somehow, I kept on thinking he was saying things to me. I can't believe dad died... I heard him say.

"Bro, stop saying that!" I shouted at him, making him jump.

"What?" He said.

He was confused, he had no idea what I was talking about.

"You keep saying things but then say you aren't saying them!!" I screamed, making mom slow down so we didn't die in a car crash.

"I'm not saying anything Scarlet!!" He snapped back at me, angry.

"Scarlet, your brothers right... He isn't not saying anything." Mom said looking at me through the rearview mirror.

"B-but I hear him saying them! It's not like I'm crazy!" I say, turning to look out the window.

What the heck... I thought to myself as I saw toadstools along the road. Wait, there wasn't a road anymore, only gravel.

"Mom, why are we on a gravel road now..?" I asked nervously, still looking outside.

Ignoring my question, she says, "We're here!" cheerfully.

Jonathan and I stayed quiet as we got our remaining luggage and got out of the car. I looked where the house should be and gasped.

"What in the world?!" I shouted at her in surprise.

"Have I not told you guys what my new job was?" She said, ignoring my tone in my voice.

"No," My brother told her.

"Well then... I guess I'll have to show you." She said, walking toward the house.

The mansion was made out of brick, it had to be at least 6 or 7 stories tall, and it had vines climbing all over the walls so it was well hidden from the outside world. Everywhere surrounding us were trees that went as far as the eye could see. As we stepped inside my brother gasped then started to go crazy happy.

"Are you mentally sane?" I asked him in amusement.

"Naw, not really," He replied, running around the giant mansion downstairs and smiled.

"Calm down, let me show you guys your rooms." Mom said, and walked upstairs.
