We were back inside the house. My mother was talking to Vici, I was sitting on the couch playing video games with Jonathan.

"Be more careful next time!!" I heard my mother say.

"I-I'm SORRY master! It's just that she had disappeared in front of my own eyes!" I then heard Vici.

"Nonsense! There is no magic left over there! None! I'm sure that darn hybrid has something to do with it,"
"Are you sure that Kat was lying? To your face?"

There was a small hesitant pause. I guess Kat is that person or whatever that helped me.

"She has done it once before. She'd probably do it again,"

Another pause. I decided to keep it chill. And what did my mom mean hybrid? Those things aren't real. Well, I thought those Saldwins weren't real either. Yet here we are. I have a broken heart that hasn't healed yet, and I was just in Dead City or whatever. I felt weird though. Even though my wounds were healing, I felt HURT. Like, emotionally. I stood up, I wanted something. I felt like I had to do something about something.

"Sis, what are you doing?" My brother asked me, confused.

"I'm going out. I need to do... something,"

"What? Why? It's night!! Pitch-black!!"
"I know," I looked down at him. "That's the point."

---------------

I ran upstairs. Like, the 5th floor I should say. I ran to my room. There was a dim light coming from the bottom crack. The door was shut though.

"Hello..? Who's in my room? Mom? Vici?"

Silence. So, I walked over and opened the door. I was freezing inside. A light came from the window. What in the world was going on? Why was it so cold? A dark feeling suddenly came over me then. I looked at my bed, the sheets were covering something. I panicked and got my pocket knife out of my pocket, I put it in there shortly after we got home. The thing looked like it was breathing, but I couldn't tell all the way. I walked over, and as I did, the light started to disappear. When I reached the bed, the light was gone. Instead all I felt was darkness inside of me, while leaning over the thing. I then took off the covers, and staggered back.

"HOW IN THE WORLD?!" I screamed.

It was that weird girl from earlier. My mom came running into the room. She gasped.

"KATRINA!!" She shouted angrily.

'Katrina' still was in the same clothes. My mother ran over and flipped the bed over. She opened her eyes weakly. She mouthed something and my mom went from furious to horrified.

"W-What? You're k-kidding!" My mother stuttered.

"I-I am not. W-why would I be here, right after the warning? I-I..," Kat sat up weakly, trailing off. "It got me..."

My mother staggered back a little. I was so confused! What in the world? What got her? Why was Mom so scared?!

"Mom! What's going on?!" I exclaimed.

"You didn't tell your children about the darkness?! They'll die too, so will you!" Kat said with an attitude, standing up now.

"They will not die, Katrina! I will die for them anyways. We both know how the darkness works!" My mother then said, angry again.

I might as well leave them alone to talk. I didn't care anymore. Why was I being involved in this? Nothing I did in my life had to do with 'Darkness', or 'The Dead City'. I looked at Katrina. I could tell that she wasn't lying, somehow.

"Mom?"

My mom didn't look at me, and didn't say anything either.
