Katrina
I teleported us up the cliff then walked her back to the house. She was hard to deal with. I couldn't believe that Ms. Crazy had a kid. Did she have more kids? What else does she have that I didn't know about? Who was the father? I was kind of freaking out, and unfortunately Ms. Crazy Jr. noticed that.
"What's wrong with you?" She asked curiously.
I didn't answer. All I had to do was take her home and then I could go back to my hole and sleep. For the second time in a millennium. Just then I saw the crazy woman. Staring at me furiously. I think it'll be a little while until I go to sleep. I stared at her. It had been awhile. Now here I am with her daughter, 600 years later.
"Nice to see you again," I said calmly.
I was flipping out inside. I was practically screaming inside, enough that it could've been funny in a different situation. We last saw each other when The Dead City wasn't dead. When there was a black magic user who lost control. When we were friends and fought together against the darkness. But I had done something unforgivable.
~600 Years earlier~
"Katrina! We can't hold these guys much longer!" Christina said.
No reply.
"Kat?!"
"One second. I'm thinking." I said, actually thinking about something.
I was going to... run. Not fight any more. I would keep getting hurt, soon I would lose a wing... or two.
"I... need to get something!"
"What?! No!"
"I-It'll help us!"
"NO! I can't lose you to the darkness!"
Gunfire.
"I won't lose. I never lose. I'll be right back!"
I ran over to the shelter. The ground was dry and dead. The beautiful garden was gone. It was all dead. We were going to lose anyway.
"KATRINA!" I heard Christina scream.
She had seen me go to the shelter. She knew I was running away from the fight. I was a coward, but I also knew that this was for my own good. So I took off running. I heard her feet pounding towards me. She's always been faster than me, but I had the advantage. I could fly. So that's exactly what I did. I spread out my wings and shot up.
"Katrina!! I better never see you again!! Otherwise I'll kill you!!" I heard her shout after me.
She sounded heartbroken
~Present Time~
Her last words echoed in my brain. And she snapped. She ran towards me, she had been waiting for 600 years. She knew my tricks. I was afraid, so I did something I would never EVER usually do. I sat down. I waited for her to reach me. Nothing was going to make me get up. Even if she tried to kill me, she wouldn't be able to.
"Mom, what the heck is going on?!" I heard the daughter shout.
I didn't care. I waited for Christina.
"Honey, please go inside with your brother." Wait, WHAT?
I shot up."What in the WORLD?! You have kidSSSS?!" I exclaimed, making the 's' sound like a snake was saying it.
"At least I won't abandon them." She said, smirking.
I let out a low growl. She had a point though.
"What in the world is happening?! MOM. Who is this weird, 14 year old, that you don't like?!" I heard the girl say.
Apparently I wasn't talked about.
"Excuse me but I am NOT that young!" I snapped at her.
"ENOUGH. Kat-"
I stopped her. "DO NOT say my name!!"
I stared at her daughter. If I didn't save her this wouldn't be happening. And I wanted to sleep so bad.
"Look, I didn't try to come back. Wish I never did! But your daughter or whatever was stuck in The Dead City, and it woke me up. I helped her out, now I'm going to go back to sleep," I explained, I wasn't in the mood to fight at ALL.
She sighed. She knows me, I wouldn't hurt her, or at this point, her family.
"Go. Only come back if... well you know..." She trailed off.
I understood. I only came back if the dark magic had come back. Or if the prophecy came true.
There is a group of eight with broken souls,
Who will fulfil their separate roles.
Two with fire,
Two with heart's desire.
Two of a dead domain,
Two of a fight that's soon to reign.
They will meet in an burnt, important place that is unseen,
They will meet and turn the world green.
She will be there, all torn but full of hope,
She will be there, to mourn but help them cope.
No one understood it. I kept my mouth shut. We were one of the only ones who were left from the war. I was only here because I ran though. I shouldn't be alive.
"MOM. She helped me!! Can she come inside or something-" Her daughter started.
"Absolutely NOT. If you ever see her around here, tell me or ANYONE else," Christina said.
I sighed. I was tired. I wanted to go back home.
"I'm leaving. And never coming back to EVER see your face. I hope to not see your daughter in Dead City ever again as well. It is the home of the hunters. My territory," I said, glaring at the girl.
She looked curious yet frightened. I guess I was glaring while I had my hood on to scare her. I didn't care, I had seen many frightened faces in my lifetime. So, I teleported away.
