Scarlet
I woke with a shudder. There was something powerful around me. I shot up and looked at the girl in surprise.
"Who are you?! What are you doing?!" I shouted at her, she didn't seem to care much though.
She didn't reply. Maybe she was a hunter. Was she sent here to retrieve me? Kill me? Hurt me? I wasn't sure. Then I saw a heart on her shirt. I then really looked at her. She had a dark orange hoodie on that almost covered her face. I could only see her right eye and legs. She had a dark purple skirt on, that was the color of the heart on her shirt too. (Her hoodie was unzipped enough)
"I am no one in your interest, I'm just here to get you out of The Dead City," She said, creeping closer to me.
"What in the world is The Dead City?! Who are you?!" I shouted at her again.
What in the world was she talking about?! I saw annoyance in her eyes. She also looked tired, like she hadn't slept in like 100 years until a couple minutes ago.
She hesitated, "I am NO ONE in your interest. Now tell me where you're from, crazy teenager!" she then started shouting as well.
I felt worried. Worried that if I didn't listen, I could die. I DID need some help, and from the looks of it, I was IN The Dead City.
"I came from, up the cliff-"
"Where the crazy lady is?!" She cut me off.
"I- wait, what? My mother isn't crazy!" I blurted out.
I wasn't thinking. If she thought she was crazy, I probably shouldn't say she's my mom.
"You're her daughter?" She asked cautiously.
There was fear in her eye. I could see an eyepatch behind her hair whenever the wind picked up.
"Why are you covering your left eye? Why is my mother crazy? Gimme answers weirdo!" I yelled at her.
She staggered a little bit away. I guess I had startled her. Good, I kind of had the upper-hand.
"Why don't you ask her when we get you back up there," She said calmly.
No more upper-hand for me. I sighed. She was my only hope I had right now. I couldn't do anything else.
"Just please tell me who you are so I can trust you." I said hopefully.
I hoped that would work, but it didn't. It went worse.
"That's the thing. No one can trust me," She said with a sly smile.
I swear the eye she was covering under the eye patch and her hair, I saw a red glow. She turned, as if she didn't want me to see.
