After Scrooge explained what had happened to them, they got Louie to bed, and Scrooge went to change out of the wet clothes he was wearing. He trudged upstairs tired from everything that had happened that day. He walked into his room and grabbed a new coat out of his closet. Goldie walked in shortly after him and watched him change out of his wet coat.
"You're not supposed to swim in winter. You know this~" Goldie joked watching him shake his head loose from any water droplets. He looked at her unimpressed but then chuckled a bit.
"Mhm, it was Louie's idea actually." He said putting on the coat and putting his old one up to hang dry. Goldie chuckled a bit then walked over to him and kissed his cheek. She checked the clock and yawned a bit. She looked back to Scrooge who was adjusting the neck of his coat. After some chit-chatting, they both went to bed.
(LMAO NEW TIME SKIP, SHE IS NOW 9 MONTHS PREGGO)
Goldie felt like a giant balloon, it sucked being pregnant. She woke up and turned to where Scrooge usually lays but he wasn't there this time. She sat up and stretched a bit to help herself wake up. She scooted out of bed and brushed her teeth, brushed her hair, and changed into a maternity dress. She walked downstairs and turned her head to the living room when she heard children giggling. She saw Huey sitting on the couch, Dewey standing on the table, and Louie sitting on the floor and they were all playing video games. Webby was drawing something sitting next to Huey.
"Morning kids." Goldie said as she walked into the kitchen.
"Morning Goldie!" The kids said at the same time but didn't look away from the television. She walked into the kitchen where Beakley was preparing them breakfast.
"Morning Mrs.McDuck." Goldie said as she watched Goldie walk over to her.
"Speaking of McDuck, where is Scrooge?" Goldie asked looking at Beakley.
"He and Donald went off somewhere I don't remember exactly what they said but it was something about going to the store to pick something up." Beakley said walking over to the table and setting down some plates. Goldie shrugged and walked over to the living room with the kids and watched them play super smash bros ultimate.
"Wanna play?" Dewey said offering his remote to Goldie. Goldie looked at his remote and attempted to reject the offer but Dewey pushed it into her hands and started directing her.
"So you've gotta select a character first." Dewey said pointing at the selection of characters.
"Who even bought you this." Goldie said scrolling through the characters.
"Duh, uncle Scrooge."Louie said selecting Isabelle.
"Well, Scrooge made a mistake." Goldie said selecting Pichu. Webby giggled a bit at Goldie's remark but suddenly loud arguing could be heard.
"They're back!" Webby said watching the door open and Donald and Scrooge walk-in arguing at each other. Scrooge quickly stopped when he noticed his entire family staring at them.
"Kids, Goldie." Scrooge said setting down a bag from their shopping. Goldie shoved the remote back into Dewey's hands and waddled over to Scrooge to hug him. She hugged Scrooge and they both kissed lightly. Scrooge's tension from Donald and his fighting melted away as he stared into his lovers' eyes. He rubbed his hands down the sides of her head and smiled softly.
"Eww..." A quiet voice could be heard from behind Goldie. It was very obviously Louie. Scrooge and Goldie's heads and cutting glazes hit Louie. Louie jumped a bit and avoided eye contact. But everywhere he looked somebody was staring at him so he HAD to redeem himself now.
"WHAT?" Louie said pulling his hood up angrily.
"She's pregnant, and you're grossed out by us staring at each other?" Scrooge said placing his hands on his sides and approaching Louie. Louie sighed and spread out across the couch. Scrooge struggled to keep his laughter in as Louie slowly slid off the couch, beak wide open, and eyes closed as he groaned loudly. Donald walked out and stared with Scrooge.
"What'd you do to him?!" Donald said shooting his head toward Scrooge. Scrooge quickly shot back a more venom-filled look.
"ME? I DIDNAE DO ANYTHAN!" He yelled angrily, waving his cane around in the air as he yelled.
"CLEARLY SOMEBODY DID SOMETHING AND I BLAME YOU SINCE YOUR NO GOOD WITH KIDS ANYWAY." Donald said narrowing his eyes.
"LOW-BLOW DONALD DUCK." Scrooge said tapping Donald's head with his cane. Everybody could feel the tension rising again.
"I haven't seen y'all argue this bad since the spear of-" Webby started and quickly stopped herself before she dug herself a grave.
"Webby's right, what are you even fighting about?" Huey said turning off the game and walking over to try and saddle this argument.
"HE SAID I CANNAE BE A GOOD FATHER!" Scrooge said pointing at Donald.
"BECAUSE YOU'RE NOT A GOOD UNCLE!" Donald said his temper rising.
"I RAISED YOU DIDN'T I?!" Scrooge yelled back defending himself.
"DOESN'T MEAN YOU DID A GOOD JOB!" He said.
"Woah, Woah, Woah! Let's just calm down alright?" Huey said in an attempt to calm everybody down.
"I. Will. Be. A. Good. Father." Scrooge said venom-filled and in a low growl before he stormed away to his and Goldies room. Donald growled a bit and stormed off to his boat.
"Okay... I'll check on uncle Donald, Goldie it's best you check on uncle Scrooge." Huey said pointing to Goldie then upstairs. Goldie nodded and walked up the stairs.
"Scrooge?" Goldie asked poking her head into their room. She saw him angrily writing on something and grumbling. She walked over to him and realized he was just working. She wrapped her arm around his neck.
"Scrooge hun, you will be a good father. Don't let his words get to-" She started but stopped when she felt his shoulders shaking a bit. She looked down and quickly realized that he was crying.
"Scrooge... Hey." She said pulling him up from his chair and hugging him the best she could considering her giant belly. They stood there until his sobbing turned into quiet whimpering. She rubbed his back.
"I'm sure he didn't mean it." She said. Scrooge was about to start talking when they heard a knock from the door then it start opening. Scrooge HATED being seen crying by people who weren't Beakley, Goldie, or Duckworth. So he quickly pushed himself away from Goldie and wiped his eyes aggressively. They both looked at the door and Donald poked his head into Scrooges room.
"Uncle Scrooge?" Donald said walking in sheepishly. It was obvious Scrooge had been crying.
"Are you cryin-" Donald started but was cut off.
"What do ye need?" Scrooge said obviously trying to avoid that question. Donald only felt guiltier whenever he realized what he said was enough to strike Scrooge's insecurities to the point it made him cry.
"I-Im sorry. I was just mad and... I said some harsh things." Donald said walking over to Scrooge in an attempt to make it up to him. Without saying anything Donald hugged Scrooge. Scrooge let out a sigh and returned the hug.
"Ye haven't hugged me like this since ye were a lad." Scrooge said resting his head on Donald's shoulder. It had been a long time. Goldie just excused herself out of the room and started making her way down the stairs. All of a sudden the baby began kicking surprisingly hard.
"Woah calm down you rascal." She said trying to continue down the stairs but stopped when contractions started. Was the baby really about to come?!
