(Needle/pill warning!)
Scrooge looked out the window, confused by what he just saw.
"What just happened?!" Goldie yelled and looked out the window. Shortly after the rest of the family walked into the room.
"What's going on in here?" Donald asked looking at Scrooge and Goldie who were just staring out of the window. Goldie turned around and began brainstorming. Soon she explained what they had seen and that they didn't know what happened.
"Do you think... Maybe Clyde... No, there's no way!" Huey started slowly catching on.
"Guys, I'm pretty sure Clyde abducted Arabelle... There's too much proof." Louie said rubbing the back of his neck with one hand and gesturing with the other.
"What 'Proof'?" Della asked looking at Louie.
"Well, Clyde always seemed less than Arabelle. I mean think about it, when did Clyde get applauded for something he did? Second, he slowly became pretty sleep-deprived, which can lead to people feeling/doing crazy things." Louie said. Dewey and Webby exchanged worried looks then looked away trying not to draw attention.
"But why would he abduct Arabelle instead of talking to Goldie or Scrooge?" Huey said worriedly looking out the window for anything Scrooge and Goldie didn't spot.
"He'd get attention this way." Scrooge said looking at Goldie. Goldie shook her head.
"Scrooge, you can't really believe Clyde would do such a thing!" Goldie said in disbelief. Goldie stood up angrily and stared at Scrooge.
"What else could it have been Goldie." Scrooge growled in a low tone and stood up to face Goldie.
"I don't know, but Clydes a good boy! He would never do such... Nonsense!" Goldie yelled clearly getting worked up.
"It's not like I wanted him to kidnap his own sister!" Scrooge yelled at Goldie.
"HE DID NOT KIDNAP HER!" Goldie yelled practically screaming over Scrooge. If there's one thing Scrooge will not tolerate, it's being spoken over. Goldie could see the rage building up in Scrooge's eyes.
"What else could it be then Goldie O'gilt? Did he knock his sister out to take her to the park? Did he drag her out the window to go get ice cream?!" Scrooge yelled. Everybody was shocked when Goldie slapped Scrooge across his face.
"YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT MCDUCK. I KNOW CLYDE, HE WOULD NEVER." Goldie yelled.
"WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU PAID ATTENTION TO HIM O'GILT?!" Scrooge yelled pointing at Goldie. She was about to answer him, but she couldn't recall when they had last had one on one time. Her anger slowly faded away into sadness and her scowl turned into a frown. Tears began running down her cheeks. And just like that, Scrooge's anger faded away too. He was angry but he didn't want Goldie to cry. Everybody else in the family just stood there awkwardly. Della slowly backed out of the room dragging the kids with her. Donald just backed away with them.
"Goldie... Don't cry, we'll find them..." Scrooge said cupping Goldie's face in his hands. She looked at him then hugged him and they stood there like that for a while. He kissed her forehead then looked toward the window. Goldie backed up a bit and rubbed her eyes.
"It's alright, we can send search teams." Scrooge said grabbing his phone out of his pocket and dialing some numbers. Goldie walked out of the room, let her ponytail down, and let her bangs down as well. She brushed through her hair with her hands and sighed. Would they ever get their sweet babies back?
Clyde carried Arabelle through the forest and looked up at a giant tree, where he spent most of his time building a treehouse . He walked over to the elevator he had made himself and slowly went up. Once they made it to the top he placed Arabelle on a chair and sat across from her awaiting her awakening. Slowly her eyes fluttered open. She put one hand on her head and looked around confused.
"Clyde..? Where are we..." She said shakily. Clyde chuckled and shrugged.
"Somewhere secret." He chuckled.
"Where's our family?" She asked still shaking.
"It doesn't matter, what matters is you get executed." He said standing up and walking over to a table that had needles and pills. He walked over and picked up a vaccine of some sort.
"What's that...?" She said her eyes widening and her pupils shrinking in terror.
"You don't need to know." He said side glaring at her. She shot up from her seat and attempted to make a run for it before he could get to her, but the door slammed shut.
"I'm afraid I can't have you running off dear sister." He said walking towards her with the shot in his hand. She backed up against the wall.
"I don't want to fight you Clyde, but you're leaving me no choice!" She pleaded, hoping her brother would change his actions.
"Then don't fight me." He said coldly.
"I'm not just going to give up on myself, my family, and my happiness like you did." She growled back. He stopped for a bit and his eyes widened. He growled and ran at her, but of course, he was sick and weak and it only took one kick to his ribs to send him falling backward. He fell onto the floor and started crawling away from her.
"Clyde, I'm so sorry... I can't let you do this to our family." She said tears streaming down her cheeks. He chuckled and grabbed a knife and threw it at her.
"WOAH!" She yelled and ducked down before it could hit her, once she turned to face Clyde he was already coming at her very quickly. She dove for the other side of the room and bolted for the door she knew as soon as she jumped out the door she would fall from the tree, but it was better than death! She ran over to the door and kicked it down. Before she jumped she looked back one last time. Clyde was just standing there smiling. She jumped and landed on a bush, and broke an arm. She flinched, but she had to stand up. She stood up and looked around.
"I have no idea where I am... I've got to run somewhere..." She cried out. She was becoming stressed, somewhere in the middle of the woods. She looked around then listened. A river! Her fathers words ringed in her head"If you follow a river downstream, you will find civilation." She ran to the river and began running along side of it, going downstream.
"I'm coming family!" She said and ran as fast as she could. Clyde couldn't stop her now, he was too weak. But he was wicked smart so no matter what, she had to keep running. That's all that mattered... Getting home!
