Pushing my fingers together I watched Xander flirt with Cordelia the meanest girl in school, I stood in place wondering what to do until I decided to make a break for it "Y/N-" I had the biggest crush on Xander Harris we were close friends who occasionally hung out together but you never knew something sparked between the two in this time. Rushing footsteps that were yards behind mine I looked for a way to hide from the person following me but I felt a grasp around my left arm turning I met eyes with my friend. I was quite jealous wishing I could have something with him but I knew Cordelia was a lot better than me, or so I thought. We looked at each other trying to figure the emotions "I'm sorry" he said raising his black eyebrows at me "For what?" I said slowly pulling my arm away from his "Y/N we've known each other a while let me make it up to you please" looking at him I rested my face "How?" "I'll pick you up at 6" he said winking and walking over to his other friend Buffy.
Going from class to class for the rest of the day thinking about Xander was a struggle to keep up with. That guy was the only thing on my mind even studies were becoming dull. Finally the last bell rang everyone rushed out of the rooms to get home, but I took my time trying to get to my locker hopefully seeing Xander through the halls. The building was almost empty and I closed the crisp metal that held my books that I didn't need for homework. Slinging my bag over my shoulder I went towards the nearest exit, but on my way out I made eye contact with my crush he smiled at me. I felt my cheeks change temperature as I smirked in his direction walking out to my car so I could get ready for my date.
Hours passed by I felt my anticipation rise as I watched out the window for his blue roofless car, as soon as I saw the tint I quickly grabbed everything I needed and made sure to not make him wait. I watched as he rose out of his seat opening his car door rushing over to the passenger seat opening it for me letting me get comfortable before closing it behind me, thanking him he walked to his side getting back in to start off the date. Xander looked over at me with a smile as he started up the car again, driving towards The Bronze for our date we began to talk about how Cordelia was always rude to us every day "Look I know she's mean but-" "I don't want to hear about your feelings for her" I said quickly shutting him down.
We pulled up to the bar and he turned the key as the car ignition went off "Okay well lets just have fun" "Yeah I don't want to get jealous again" I muttered getting out of the car shutting the door behind me. We walked into the building hearing the band sing through out the walls as people danced on the bottom floor, Xander reached for my hand I nervously took his blushing as we walked passed everyone who was having a good time. We surprisingly didn't see any of his friends there even though they frequent the building every Friday night, we found a table "If you want any food don't be shy" he said smiling at me "I think I'm fine I'd like a drink though" "Well I'm gonna get the big onion thing I-" "Oh my God Xander and Y/N?! Is this a date?" I heard turning to the voice it was Cordelia.
Rolling my eyes I nodded at her stupid question "Aw you guys are perfect for each other, two losers... I hear wedding bells" Xander looked at the ground "You know why don't you get away from us, I'm sick of you always messing with people because your parents don't give you enough attention!" I yelled turning heads Xander looked at me in shock since I'm usually the quiet kid "Shut up Y/N" "Don't tell them to shut up" Xander hissed "See this was meant to be, I'm too good for you anyway Xander" she said flipping her hair and strutting away to her friends who asked what happened. I sat back in my seat trying to breathe better "It's ok Y/N" he said reaching for my hand again.
