It was a Sunday, there lessons would start tomorrow. Everyone in fourth year where sitting on the sofas in the common room talking about there holidays. Sirius didn't say much about his, it was the same as usual, he argued with his family and got punished for not believing the same things as them.

Marlene was in control of the music box so they where listening to a dolly Parton song.

James began to sing the song to lily and then added "dear lily flower, wont you go with me on the next trip to hogsmeade"

Lily rolled her eyes and replied with a simple "no"

This was a daily occurrence in the gryffindor common room.
Everyday James asked lily out and everyday she said no. Sirius rolled his eyes.
They all decided to go to bed soon after that as they had school the next day.

James and Sirius walked into the great hall and sat opposite each other at the gryffindor table Sirius reached put for a mug of coffee and James cleared his throat and climbed onto the table.

He turned to lily and "oh dearest lily flower, wont you go out with me?" He asked.

Lily groaned "no, now get of the table or i swear to Merlin ill-"

"You'll what" James asked and winked

Lily groaned again grabbed her book bag and left the great hall.

Marlene laughed and turned to Mary to continue there conversations.

James jumped of the table and shrugged
"It was worth a shot" he said

"It wasn't, shes never gonna go out with you, the girl hates you." Marlene stated.

"No she doesn't" James grinned and started eating his toast.

Sirius rolled his eyes "what do we have first?" He asked

"Potions" Mary replied "with the slytherins" she added.

"Ughhh we have to sit in the same room as snivellius" James groaned
Sirius grinned.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" James asked
"Well Jamsie, I have a plan"

James grinned, Mary and Marlene both simultaneously groaned.

"Arghhh" Snape screamed.

James and Sirius burst out into laughter.

James put his hand out for Sirius to high five, a soaking wet and glaring Snape walked over to them. "Think that's funny do you?" He asked the laughing boys.

"Yes actually we do" James replied still laughing

Snape continued to glare at them but had nothing else to say.
Slughorn walked in.

"Everyone go find a-" he began
"Oh deary me, Mr Snape, your soaking you better go and get dried up" he told a embarrassed looking Snape.

As Snape walked away Slughorn continued "now if everyone could get into partners and take a seat as we will be doing healing draughts today."

Sirius turned to James but he had wondered of toward lily.
So he rolled his eyes,
