Loud music was playing and people where dancing and singing, the gryffindor parties made up some of Sirius best memories. He walked over to where Mary was standing, She was holding a cup of fire whiskey, this was the first party any of the fourth years had ever drank alcohol at and Sirius already knew they where all going to regret it the next day but he didn't care, it was a Saturday anyway.

He scanned to room and saw Marlene dancing with a ravenclaw girl, whose name he believed was Dorcas, Peter was chatting to a group of hufflepuffs, Alice was with Frank Longbottem in the year above and most surprisingly James was dancing on a table, the surprising part was not what he was doing it was who he was doing it with, he was dancing with Lily.

"she must be drunk out of her mind" Mary stated Sirius nodded in agreement and opened his mouth to reply but a ravenclaw boy came and took Mary by the hand and pulled her away to dance with him.

Sirius scanned the room for Remus he was standing on his own drinking fire whiskey. He was about to go over to Remus when he got pulled into a circle of people playing spin the bottle.

he sat down in the group and watched as a ravenclaw spin the bottle slowly and landed on him, she did that on purpose, Sirius thought he didn't say anything as the girl walked over him and pulled him into a deep kiss. After they broke apart the girl winked at him and went back to sit down.

The game went on for a few more rounds but Sirius got bored and was about to head up to his bedroom.

"ooh love, ooh lover boy, what you doin' tonight, hey, boy? set my alarm, turn on my charm, that's because i'm a good old-fashioned lover boy" he recognised that song, it was the one by queen that Remus always played.

He caught Remus looking at him from across the room and smirked.

Sirius walked across the room to the other boy

"Mr moony, may i have this dance?" Sirius asked in a dramatically posh voice holding out his hand for Remus to take.

"It would be my honour" Remus replied in a voice as posh as Sirius had been.

Remus took Sirius hand and Sirius pulled him to the middle of the common room spinning him round as he did, Remus laughed at Sirius as neither boy could dance well Sirius being the over dramatic boy he was tried to spin Remus under his arm and catch him, he ended up letting go and Remus tripped up over his leg and landed on the floor.

Sirius burst out in laughter, then lost his footing and landed on top of Remus. The two boys looked at each other before they both started laughing again.

It was six in the morning when James went upstairs to sleep finally, leaving Remus and Sirius on the couch alone, they where the only two left awake.

They sat in silence, still drinking fire whiskeys, Sirius was about to go upstairs when Remus grabbed his face, turning it so he was facing Remus, then Remus leaned in and kissed him. He was shocked, he wasn't complaining though, it felt warm and safe, like he could stay like that forever.

Suddenly Remus jerked back, eyes wide, he stood up and went to their dorm. Sirius was to shocked to move, what had happened?

Why had Remus kissed him?

Why did he enjoy it so much?

Sirius jumped to his feet and hurried up to the dorms, he walked over to Remus bed but the curtains where pulled covering the whole bed.

He sat on his bed not knowing what to do.

had it been a mistake?

Maybe Remus was to drunk to know what he was doing?

What would he do about it?

What if Remus didn't like him like that?

Did he even like Remus like that?

"so i would like to collect everyone's essays on amortentia and then we are going to attempt to brew our own amortentia" Slughorn stated, as he started walking around the class gathering the essays.

When he got to where Sirius and Remus where sitting, Remus handed his essay over and Sirius handed a few pieces of empty parchment over.

"where is your essay, Mr Black?" Slughorn asked looking confused

"its right there professor" Sirius replied with a grin on his face.

"no this is blank parchment-" Slughorn started.

"actually professor," Sirius interrupted "that is the essay, i wrote it in invisible ink" he finished his smirk growing.

"ahh" professor Slughorn seemed lost for words "and how am i supposed to mark it?" he asked

Sirius shrugged "ill let you figure that out sir" he replied.

Slughorn sighed and moved on to get the rest of the essays.

"shall i get the ingredients for the amortentia then?" Remus asked, neither of the two boys had spoken since the party and it had been rather awkward.

"yeh go on then" Sirius replied and Remus walked away.

"no! leave me alone Potter!" Lily suddenly shouted at a grinning James.

"awww come on Evans, just give me a chance" James replied.

"No! i don't want to date you now, nor will i ever want to date you, so leave me alone." Lily replied turning on her heals and walking away from James.

Marlene rolled her eyes at James, picked up some powdered moonstone and walked away.

Remus came back over to where Sirius was and they started brewing the potion.

"Hey its smells like-" Sirius began before stopping abruptly as he realised it was a love potion so it smelled of what attracts you.

"smells like what?" Remus asked.

"never mind" Sirius said things where awkward enough without Remus knowing that Sirius was attracted to him.

"oh okay" he replied and they continued making the potion.

"God Evans, it smells nice but how much perfume are you wearing its all i can smell!" James shouted across the class.

Lily went about fifty shades of red and looked down at her cauldron.

Marlene and Mary both burst out laughing "Potter you do know what potion this is?" Marlene asked through a fit of laughter.

"yeh amortentia" James replied

Marlene rolled her eyes "its a love potion James, you did an essay on this"

"well actually i copied moonys, i wasn't really paying attention to it" James smirked

"and that will be a detention for you Mr Potter" Slughorn sighed

"what! Why?" James exclaimed.

"for admitting you copied on the homework"

James groaned as the rest of the class laughed.

"well done James you complete idiot!" Sirius shouted.

James rolled his eyes "at least i did something, you didn't even do yours"

"well that will be a detention for Mr Black to then" Slughorn said

"oops" James grinned.

"i will murder you" Sirius replied.
