she wore lingerie like moonlight
WITH A RING ON HER FINGER and a smile on her lips, Mizuki went about her days as a newly engaged woman. The news of her engagement spread like wildfire once again. Her phone buzzed multiple times throughout the day, messages and calls lighting up her device, all of which she answered when she could."Mimi-chan! If they do anything bad, you call me, and I'll send Iwa-chan over!"
"What am I? A guard dog?" she heard the male say in the background.
Oikawa hushed his husband.
Mizuki only smiled at her two friends. "Thank you, Tooru. But I can take care of myself."
"Mhm. I've seen all those murder documentaries you've watched. Just letting you know that if you need to hide a few bodies, Iwa-chan and I can help you out."
"He's right, though."
"Oi! Iwaizumi! Keep your soulmate in line!" exclaimed Kuroo, sitting on the other side of the bed, Akaashi curled up in his lap, both of them reading a book Mizuki recommended to them.
"He'd have a greater chance of draining the Mississippi with a straw," Mizuki said, snorting silently.
"Mimi-chan!"

Warmth. Mizuki felt warm, warm in his embrace, wrapped in his arms, like the sun cradled her soul. She buried her face in the left side of his neck, burrowing both of them into the soft sheets above them. Her arms wrapped around his body, tucked under his arms, pressing her body against his.
"Good morning," came Akaashi's husky morning voice, his hand moving to her stomach, lovingly stroking the bump where their babies laid inside, growing day by day.
Mizuki's lips tugged up into a gentle, small smile.
"Morning," she greeted, reaching up and rubbing the reminder of sleep from her eyes, lilac orbs flitting over to the window and gazing out at the horizon, its vivid light extending across a rosy sky. Its dazzling and inviting rays flowed into the room, encompassing the two soulmates tenderly.
Akaashi brought her closer, tightening his hold around her waist. Gunmetal blue trailed down, trained onto her stomach. Mizuki could feel the insecurity through their bond, and she grasped his hand, lacing their fingers together.
"You're going to be an amazing father, Keiji."
His heart warmed.
"Don't doubt yourself. If you are going to doubt then–" she brought their locked hands to her face, placing a kiss on the back of his–"doubt thou the stars are fire," she began, trailing kisses up and down his fingers. "Doubt that the sun doth move. Doubt truth to be a liar." She brought their faces together, lips brushing together. "But never doubt I love."
