Okay, it has been a year since I last updated and two seasons have passed. While I won't go back and update the past chapters, I will use new evidence in the show for my next theories. Comment with your thoughts on my theories and critque at your leasure.

BMO is the adorable little game console slash projector slash television slash cook slash... well, it serves lots of functions. There are many arguments about what gender BMO is. While technically it is genderless, and is proven in the Adventure Time Munchkin with the fact that the BMO character card has no opposite gender and is immune to gender effects.

BMO has sent us mixed signals about its gender. First off it refers to itself as a boy on multiple occasions, and is a masculine dectective character in BMO Noire,  but the title uses the feminine version of the word Noir/Noire. Also, it has a pregnant song and was almost married to Bubble, who is male. Also it is voiced by a female, Nikki Yang. So it has characteristics of both male and female programming.

My conclusion slash guess is that BMO has female programming, but tries to be a boy because he wants to fit in with Finn and Jake and their all male household.
