Adventure Time Theories

Martin Mertens

Martin is Finn's biological father and an intergalactic con man that was imprisoned in the Citadel until the Lich destroyed the entire complex. He escaped and eventually found a space craft and crash-landed on earth. He claims that he left Finn and him mother on a boat and he was called out on important business.

Now. We should probably point out some of the bullshit. Finn's dad was saying that he was attacked by different sea animal. Including seaweeds. So he doesn't really know about Earth. He probably left Finn and his mother somewhere in space. He doesn't really know anything about his mother either. This seems really unrealistic. It's not like their is a lot of humans running around. I don't think it would be that hard to remember the only other member of your species. But wait, what if Martin wasn't his father?

Okay, this is a theory brought to me by CrazyDoesReading. They claimed that Martin is not Finns father, and that he just found Finn somewhere. Then he left them on Earth to toughen him up to a criminal prodigy. This would explain why he doesn't know anything about his mother and about earth. It seemed a solid theory.

But there is one crucial flaw in the theory. Finn's father's last name is Mertens. So is Finn's. "Big deal," you say, "Pride, Martin could have faked the name. Who says Finn's mother is Mertens too." You would be right.

Except I wasn't referring to Martin.

In Farmworld, Finn's father, and if we were to assume that the theory to be true, if would be Finn's real dad, has the last name of Mertens.

Theory Busted! (I'm sorry CrazyDoesReading, that was a little mean.)
