Lost at sea

13th birthday

A couple of days later it was Jones 13th birthday and she was still asleep when Sam came back off his night shift

He smiled at seeing his daughter fast asleep on the stairs so he carried her up to bed and tucked her in

He also fell asleep in his bed after a shower and around 1:45pm he woke up to a thud

His eyes opened and he imeadtly ran out of his bedroom to see his daughter laughing her head off

"Jones, did you nearly just give me a heart attack for a prank?" Sam asked

"No dad, I accidentally dropped something down the stairs and I can't reach it cause I wanted" I say

"You want me to get it don't you?" Sam asked

I nodded and Sam picked her up and walk downstairs and picked it up and saw it was her training book and she smiled softly

Sam put her down and put her book back in her bedroom before he came back downstairs to his daughter wearing his old uniform jacket and he couldn't help but smiled and said "hey Jones"

I looked up at him and he said "I mean Firefighter Jones"

I chuckled and said "your firefighter Jones dad"

"No I'm fireman Sam Jones, they only call me fireman Jones -" he stared

"When your in Steele's and Boyce's bad books?" I answered for him

"Excatly Jones" he said

"So I'm?" I asked

"Yes your firefighter Jones Jones" Sam said as he saw me smile ever so wide with her eyes twinkling and she ran into the living room

Sam checked the calendar and said "Hey Jones, how do you feel seeing Grandad?"

"He and mummy are working dadda" I reply as I stand at ease next to him

"Jones did you forget what day it was?" Sam asked as he quickly grabbed my present

"No, it's the 4th" I reply confused and he told me to close my eyes so I did so and he passed me something in my hands and when I opened my eyes and saw a present

"Dad?" I ask confused and Sam showed me the date and I smile "how could I have forgotten"

Sam shrugged as he saw me open the gift from him and penny and I put it down and ran and jumped at my dad, luckily he had quick relflexes so he caught me and he said "Like it then Jones?"

"Like it, love it" I reply as Sam and me hug before he puts me back down and I pick it and I look at it and say "Awesome, but I'm wearing your old work jacket"

But before Sam could say anything he saw me take of that jacket and put this one on and I put my dads helmet on and I said "now you must obey my orders daddddyyyy"

He laughed as I walked out and he said "shoes"

"No" I reply back

Sam rolled his eyes and picked me up after he licked the door and once we were at the station I snuck up on Ellie and said "Hello El"

"Jones" Ellie replied

I laugh and say "Firefighter Jones"

"I'm letting her wear my old uniform today" Sam explained as Ellie realised what day it was before she passed me something and I open it and say "yay thanks Els"

"All cause I got struck by an eltric eel" she said

"Funny to" I laugh as I open the present and smile as I saw a picture from that day and said "Awh look at your face Ellie"
