Chapter 3

"Man this is harder than I thought", I mumbled to myself. I just finished my failing attempt of creating moonlight. Eddie thought it would be to much to create a moon right now. I don't blame him anyway, just creating moonlight took a toll on me.

I am now sitting in the living, I don't feel like doing anything right now after my lesson. Eddie walked in and sat down next to me.

"Why is it so hard", I asked him knowing that he knew what I meant.

"You just need to keep practicing and when you practice the better it becomes", he said. I look towards the beach, remembering the time they told us who and what we are.

*Flashback*

"Come and sit down children", our uncle said. Me and Matthew sat down on the couch in the study. Uncle Lawrence,our legal guardian, had called us in to talk to us about an important matter.

"Uncle what is wrong", Matthew said noticing uncle's troubled voice. He looked over at Eddie who was standing by the door, then back at us.

"Listen to me children what I am about to tell you will change your whole life", he started. "You always asked me about your mother and father and what your life was like before, your memory vague of the life before. There is a reason why that is", he stopped and hesitantly shifted back and forth.

"See what I had to do was for your own good, so please understand what I am going to tell you".

"Please just tell us uncle", I said a little curious and nervous on what he is going to say.

"Alright alright", he sighed, took a chair, and sat down in front of us. "The reason why your memory of your past is so vague is because I put a block on both you minds", he stopped and looked at us. I laughed thinking this was a joke, but stopped when I saw that he was serious.

"Your joking right", I said. "How can you put a block on our mind. Are you a wizard or something", I joked on the last part but his answer hit me right in the face.

"Yes , as you can put it I am a wizard. A very powerful one at that. I didn't to protect you both".

"Protect us from what", Matthew demanded. "You took away everything about our past so you can protect us", Matthew yelled. I flinched from the sound of his voice.

"Yes I did but now I am going to remove the block and let you see for yourself why I did everything I had to do to protect you both", uncle said.

"How are you going to do that", I asked curiously.

"Don't listen to a word he says Aletha", Matthew said.

While me and Matthew were arguing uncle walked up to us and placed a hand on both of our foreheads. A bright light illuminated the room and the next thing I knew I passed out. Letting the blanket of blackness consume me.
