-Ian Kim-

"Ashley, how are you?"

"Good," She replied coldly.

"Are you mad at me?"

"No,"

"Are you avoiding me?"

"I'm not,"

"Ashley?"

"What?!" She said, roughly.

"Do you want to eat kimchi with me? We can eat it with your favorite Bulgogi, too,"

Ashley glared at me, furiously.

The eyes that used to look at me with warmth and love, now glaring at me with hostility.

"Don't talk to me, and stay away from me,"

"What do you mean? How can I—"

"Just leave me alone!!" Ashley shouted.

Ah, it felt like my heart was ripped apart.

I exhaled a deep breath and said smoothly as I can. "Ashley..."

"Leave me alone, and don't you dare show your face, in front of me! You, out of all people. I trust you the most and loved you with all of my heart. How could you play me for a fool? Was everything, just a playdate? You befriended me, because of her?"

"Yes, at first, I did. But—"

"Whatever your reasons, you are a liar. You know how much I hate a liar."

No, I'm not.

"You didn't even tell me about the night you kissed her, hoping it was me? Then you claimed to have feelings for me?" I said, in a hurtful tone.

"Jessica saved my family, and at first, I thought that befriending you is for the sake of Jessica. But, as I got to know you, I've come to like you, as a friend. For me, it's a genuine friendship and I won't trade anything for that."

Friendship, my ass.

"You could tell me all of that, instead you are treating me like a fool."

If I tell you, then you would run to her, immediately.

"I don't have the guts to tell you about it, since I can't afford to lose you. You are my..."

Everything.

"You are my best friend,"

She bit her lower lip, and tears filled her eyes.

My heart hurt, even more, to see her cry because of me.

"Don't cry, it aches my heart." I gently wipe her tears.

"You are making me confused. I thought you are the one who saved me back then. I thought you are the one who kissed my fear away. But, turned out... It wasn't you... Do you know, how confused I am with my own feelings? And now, Jessica Huttington came and she was in all pictures."

Suddenly, I saw Jessica hiding behind the tree. She was staring hard at us.

Ian smirked.

"Do you want to confirm it?" I asked her, softly as I play with her fingertips.

"Confirmed what?" She asked, confusedly.

"Kiss me,"

Ashley lifted her eyebrow.
