-Ashley-
"They will not escape, from us," Jaime said in rage as his hands tightened into fists.
Ashley smirked.
"They won't. I will cripple their reputation before I kill them with my own hands."
Jaime's eyebrows rose. "What do you mean by that? No! You will not dirty your hands. Leave them to law. Law will punish them. "
"Law? Are you joking with me right now?" I defied him. "What can justice and laws do to them? Nothing. Eventually, the money will let them out."
"I can't deny that, but Justice will always prevail. It's not our job to end others lives so easily. If you kill them, then you are a murderer too."
I laughed mockingly. "Unfortunately, I don't care about that."
"Even if you kill them, this world is too big, and there's a lot of people like them too. Maybe even wicked than them. So, what's the point of killing just a tiny bit of them?"
Jaime let out a small sighed as he continued, "Don't waste your life like that,"
"Every minutes, hours, day, I feel suffocated... My body was hurting, my heart throbbing every day, because of what they did to my family. I can't live at ease, knowing those people still breathing happily," I said with a stern expression.
"I lived half of my life, trying to bring them down. I am so angry, that I want to kill them right away. But, your mother, believed in God and his plans. She believed in karma and she hated violence. I don't want your mother to hate me, and so, I become a lawyer, since it's the only way for me to expose the Roswell's evil deeds. In which, I failed to do so up until now," Jaime said gently.
I sighed annoyedly, didn't reply.
"But now, we can bring them down by using Evelyn and Austin's cases!" Jaime said as he forcibly tried to convince me.
"No," I replied coldly as I slammed the table.
Jaime sighed.
"Listen to me, we are going to make the law punish those kids. They are going to be remembered as rapists, a murderer who took away someone's precious child. But, if you kill them, you are going to be remembered as a murderer, while those bastards will be mourned as innocent teenagers who lose their life."
"Easier said than done, Jaime,"
"Ashley Klair Haydn, killing them won't destroy the evil. Even if you kill them, there's not going to change the fact that there's a lot of wicked people out there. Why don't you join me, and punish them? And protects all the victims who don't have their voices? You have the power to change the world. Haydn, that's your greatest weapon." Jaime said as he roughly shook my numb body.
As if he wanted me to face the truth.
"But, they will only serve their time in jail for how many years? Eventually, they will leave. But, if we kill them, we will not see them anymore!" I shouted.
Jaime sighed annoyedly. "I've always thought that Angeline and Elizabeth would make a disaster match. And, you are the result of their bad traits. Stubborn, and annoyingly persistent just like Angeline. Cruel and arrogant, just like Elizabeth,"
"But, one thing for sure. You have a good heart. That's why you wanted to avenge your loved ones." Swiftly, he smiled widely.
"Alright, how about this. We bring them to justice, and I will make sure to punish them, with a life sentence. They will live their entire life, in a secluded and stinkiest jail. Then, maybe you can—"
