I took a deep breath and said,

"She is the most beautiful girl I've ever met. She was all about love, making things easy, encouraging those around her loosen up, and being content with what they have. Maybe that's why people can't help but to adore her. It's her inner beauty that lit her eyes and softened her features. When she smiled and laughed, you couldn't help but smile along, too. She is full of life that made her irresistible to both genders. Men desired her, and women courted her affection."

I said to her, hoping that it will touch her cold heart.

"I can tell that she's a wonderful person," Her voice was slow and serene.

"She is, and that's one of the reasons why I can't help to fall in love with her. I love her so much. So much, that it hurts me. Even now, I'm hurting because I love her so much."

Ashley nodded, slowly as she was shocked by the fact that I mentioned "girl".

"I know what you are thinking right now. Yes, I love girls. Do you despise me, now that you know my deepest secret?" I asked hesitantly.

God, please don't let her said that words.

"No, I'm not. Why would I hate you? Someone I also know the same as you. As long as you are happy. After all, love is love, right?" she chuckled.

"So, where's that lucky girl?" Ashley asked.

In front of me. I replied mentally.

I let out a long, audible breath. "I'm trying to find her now, and I hope that I'm not too late for that. I mean, she will hate me for what I'm trying to do just to be with her."

"I'm sure everything would be just fine. It may take a while, but what's meant for you will always find its way to you. Cheer up. I'm rooting for both of you."She smiled as her green-eyed bewildered me with its iciness.

"How about you? Is there someone—"

"Love is not for me," She stopped me as she replied emotionlessly. Her expression stilled and grew serious. "Ah, look at the clock, it's getting late now, let me take you to your apartment," Ashley said.

"Ah, yeah. I better go now," I said awkwardly. It's obvious Ashley hate to talk about it.

She walked me to my apartment, which is just in front of her apartment.

"Thank you for the delicious pasta, the company, and for hearing me out," I said genuinely.

Ashley smiled but didn't answer. She left afterwards.

I closed the door, and as if my legs couldn't keep my weight, I fall down.

"God, I love her so much."
