Todoroki's P.O.V.

"Aww what a lovely couple! What can I get you guys today?" the waitress asked.

"Uh ma'am, we're not a-" I started.

"Thanks for the compliment! I only want a boba tea, he'll take Zaru soba," Midoriya said.

"Okay coming right up!" the waitress said as she walked away.

I shifted my focus on Midoriya.

"Why did you interrupt me? We're not a couple," I said.

"Why burst her bubble? She looked happy, so let her stay that way. Embarrassment is a bad feeling, I should know," Midoriya said with a sad look in his eyes.

"What is that supposed to mean?" I asked.

He just shook his head and pushed it aside.

"Its hot in here, don't you think?" he asked.

"You probably feel that way because you have that big jacket on. Take it off," I suggested.

"No I'm fine. I'll live, its not a big deal," he said with a chuckle.

I knew he was lying or hiding something. Its not really my business but I want to know whats wrong.

"Midoriya, I know that something's wrong with you. Please tell me," I asked.

Midoriya shook his head.

"There's nothing wrong with me Todoroki. I'm perfectly fine," he said with a smile.

"I can tell your smile is forced, Midoriya," I said.

Midoriya chuckled a little bit. Then he looked down with a face of pure sadness. Then he looked up at me and smiled.

"Its just something I don't really want to talk about."

I took a deep breath and nodded.

"Here's your food gentleman!" the waitress said as she set our food on the table.

"Thank you miss," Midoriya said.

As I was eating I noticed Midoriya staring at me with a smile.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Nothing, you just look really happy. I'm glad that you're happy!" he said.

I stopped slurping my noodles. What did he mean by that?

"Uh, thanks?" I responded.

He just started laughing out of nowhere.

"What is it? Is there a noodle stuck on my face?" I asked.

He started laughing even harder.

"No its just- your so- awkward!" he said.

I furrowed my eyebrows and pouted my lip, offended about what he said.

"Awkward? Are you trying to insult me?" I exclaimed.

He chuckled a little bit and smirked.

"No its not an insult. I'm saying that I find your awkwardness cute," he said.

My eyes turned big in surprise. He also looked surprised and he slapped his hand over his mouth.

"Nevermind! Forget I said that!" he yelled.

He put his straw to his boba tea in his mouth and looked at the ground. I'm just gonna pretend he didn't say that.

After we got done eating, Midoriya insisted that he would pay since he was the one who asked me to come. Now we were walking out of the restaurant. Midoriya checked the time on his phone and smiled. I don't get why he was so happy to see that it was six o'clock.
