Chapter 45

Zero's P.O.V.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

"I'm coming!" I said.

I walked over to the door and opened it. When I saw who it was my face lit up.

"Todo baby! You've come to see me," I said as I attacked him with a hug.

"Yeah I have a question to ask you," he said as he patted my back.

After a while I let him go and invited him inside the room. He took a seat on my bed and I sat in my desk chair.

"What was the question you wanted to ask Todoronie?" I said.

He took a deep breath before standing up and grabbing my left hand. He thoroughly examined it and traced his finger along the cut bruise.

"What does this cut represent?" he asked me.

I laughed a little bit and stood up as well. I grabbed his left hand and put it against mine.

"You mean to tell me you forgot?" I questioned.

Our direct eye contact broke because he looked away while nodding his head. I intertwined our fingers and turned his face back to me.

"You're still on your pills aren't you?" I asked.

He nodded his head and looked surprised that I remembered he took them.

"Then if your pills blocked it out, I don't think I should tell you," I said.

"No tell me!" he demanded.

I sighed because I didn't know if it was the right thing to do. And usually I would say something like, "Who am I to keep his own memory away from him?" But this is something that I just shouldn't do.

"Sorry but I can't," I said as I let go of his hand.

He obviously looked a bit pissed from me not telling him, but he'll be alright. He took one last look at my left hand and left the room. Well, it's not my fault that the memory that follows behind our promise is bad. Wait a minute? How was he even be able to remember that the cut represented something if he's on his pills? He must've ran out! Or just stopped taking them? Either way is pretty bad, I've seen how ugly it gets when he's off of them and starts remembering things.

Maybe I can catch him and ask.

Bakugou's P.O.V.

I was sitting down in the common room by myself. Kirishima was sitting across from me reading a book. He still wasn't talking to me after what happened in the cafeteria. Honestly, I miss having a best friend. He helped me the most when my dad passed away. Every time I try to talk to him he just walks away.

"Kirishima," I called out.

He glanced up at me and stared for a minute then looked back at his book.

"I know you can hear me," I stated.

This time he didn't look up and just flipped the page on his book.

"Don't ignore me!" I accidentally raised my voice.

He rolled his eyes and closed his book. Then got up and started to walk away. Again, another failed attempt. I decided I was going to go to my room and lay down somewhere.

I got up and started walking down the hall then bumped into somebody.

"Ah perfect timing!" that somebody said.

I looked up to see who it was and immediately got irritated.

"What Zero?" I said in an annoyed tone.

"Why you gotta be so strict and mean?" he whined.

What? I tried walking away but I stopped when he grabbed my wrist. It caught me off guard and on top of that, he was really close. And I mean REALLY close.

"Sorry but, have you seen Todoroki?" he asked.

Is he really asking me about Todoroki? Me of all people? I swear, this son of a chicken nugget makes my head feel like it's exploding.

"No I haven't," I replied.

He sighed and let my wrist go.

"Sorry for holding you up. But I'm sure you didn't mind," he said.

"Wrong. I minded a lot," I responded.

He pouted and crouched down to my level. Just because he's tall doesn't mean he gotta rub it in like that.

"Well then, now I feel bad. I'm sorry for holding you up babe," he said.

Then he kissed my forehead and smiled.

"I hope you can take that as an acceptable apology," he said.

Then with that, he walked away to continue looking for Todoroki. "Hope you can take that as an acceptable apology?" Did he really say that! Great! Now my forehead is contaminated. It's tainted! Now I really need to go to my room. I need to clean off this...this...infectism that is my forehead.
