Bakugou's P.O.V.
"What happened?" I asked my mom.
"You did it again. You need to stop cutting off your string, it's getting worse Katsuki," my mom said.
"Really?! I did it again?" I asked.
"Yes Katsuki, and you're getting worse. You really need to stop," she said.
"But either way will be a bad ending. At least with me cutting off my string, there's a chance a different one will grow back," I said.
"But Katsuki-"
"There is no buts! You already know that I don't believe in this 'fated soulmate' shit! I wish none of it existed! Why can't we be normal and just get with who we like? Most of the so called soulmates end up extremely hurt because of their other soulmate. Like, what type of shit is that?! But when you want to break off an unhealthy relationship with your soulmate, you have to suffer from a deep depression? NO THANK YOU!" I yelled.
"Ok, I get it. Calm down. But you should still stop," she said.
I sighed.
"Fine," I said.
"Good," she replied as she stood up and walked out.
I took a deep breath and pulled out my phone.
Six missed calls from Kirishima
Two missed calls from Half and Half Bastard
Three missed calls from Deku
One missed call from Dad
Wait a second. Dad? Why would he have called me when he is supposed to be home soon? He probably wants me to give him the grocery list. I clicked call back on my dad's phone number and put it on speaker. I sat there and let it ring for about a whole minute but there was no answer. That's weird, he usually answers after the first three rings. I tried calling back again but there was still no answer. I took a deep breath checked what time he called me. 2 hours ago? That was when Deku was here. How come I didn't here it? I tried calling back again, but this time it went straight to voicemail. I got up out of the bed and ran to my mom's room. She was sitting on her bed reading a book.
"Mom, did you get a call from dad?" I asked.
"From your father? No I thought he called you. He always does," she said.
"Well he did and I tried to call him back, but he won't answer. Try calling him on your phone," I said.
She pulled out her phone and pressed a button. Then she put the phone up to her ear.
"It went straight to voicemail," she said surprised.
"Call his job," I suggested.
She dialed his job number and put the phone on speaker. It rung a few times, then someone answered.
"Hello?" the man on the phone said.
"Hi, I'm calling for Masaru Bakugou," mom said.
"Oh Bakugou. Well his shift ended an hour ago," the man said.
"Ok thank you," mom said as she hung up the phone.
"That's weird. His job is only like ten minutes away from here," I said.
"Maybe he's grocery shopping," she said.
"Why didn't he answer his phone then?" I asked.
"Maybe it died," she replied.
