Bakugo's POV:
It's been like...what? Five minutes since Todoroki dazed off. And Deku said he was okay and to just leave him alone? I glanced over to Deku and he was staring at his phone and laughing at videos.
"Really?" I said. "Are you watching cat videos again at a time like this?"
"What? Cats are cute, you'd be crazy not to want to watch them," he replied.
I simply just pointed at Todoroki while keeping eye contact with him.
"Ohhhhh," Deku mumbled.
"Yeahhhh," I replied. "Is he going to wake up anytime soon? It's kind of just creepy sitting here looking at him. He's just staring into space."
Deku got up out of his seat and walked over in front of Todoroki. He stared at him for a while and then he crouched down to get a better look at him. I scooted back a little bit and then Deku smacked him very hard across the face.
"Hey!!" I yelled.
"Welp. He's out of it," Deku said.
I just stared at Deku in disbelief.
"Since when would you do something like that to him. You've said to me multiple times that he's your best friend and you would never hurt him," I said.
"You guys happened," he said softly. "You may have marked my wrist but...even after, neither one of you act like you care about me. So, I toughened up a little bit. I have to force myself to toughen up."
I looked at him with an upset face. Right when I was about to say something, Todoroki started coughing and he grabbed his chest.
"Todoroki?" I called out
"Todoroki," I called out again.
I put my hand on his shoulder and Deku also was looking a little concerned.
"Todoroki!" I yelled.
Finally, he opened his eyes and gasped for air. He started crying immediately.
"Where's Zero?" he asked.
"He's not in here right now remember?" I spoke.
He looked around for a minute and a look of realization crossed his face. Then he wiped away his tears and looked at Deku.
"Your question," he said.
Deku continued looking at him expecting an answer.
"Zero is just my friend. Our past together was very twisted and ended horribly because of fate. Fate wouldn't let us be together because I'm not his soulmate and he isn't mine," Todoroki said. "So to answer your question, he's just my best friend."
Todoroki stood up to face Deku.
"I have PTSD," he said simply. "I take medications to take away the bad memories that I can't handle. I ran out of those meds, and it feels like I just relived my whole childhood."
"Why didn't you tell me sooner?" Deku asked.
"It wasn't something I was ready to share with you yet. The only people that know are my family and Zero," Todoroki said.
"That's why you hang out with him so much, because he understands you?" I asked.
Todoroki looked over at me and shook his head.
"I hang out with him because that's my best friend. I've known his since I was five and he taught me how to feel things and be happy and how to love, so I would be prepared for you the both of you," Todoroki said.
Deku and I were quiet after he said that, and everybody sat back down in their seats.
"What did you remember?" Deku asked curiously. "It would be easier for us to understand you if you tell us what you've been through."
I nodded my head in agreement. Todoroki took a deep breath, and he started telling us everything that he just relived. Afterwards, he looked very stressed and upset about everything.
"You forgot about it," Deku stated. "Meaning all this time you were blaming Zero, but he was just trying to protect you and you didn't understand that."
Todoroki nodded his head.
"Well, it's never too late for apologies~" I said.
Todoroki chuckled a little bit and nodded his head again. Deku stood back up and sat on the other side of Todoroki, then he simply just hugged him.
"You can always come to us when there's something you need to tell us. That's what we're here for," Deku said.
"Thank you for listening," Todoroki said.
I couldn't help but notice Todoroki was still being bothered by something.
"Go talk to Zero," I said.
Both of them looked at me and Deku let go of Todoroki. Todoroki just smiled.
"Thanks," he said as he stood up and walked out.
I looked back at Deku, and he was death staring me.
"Whatttt?" I spoke.
"You just had to ruin the moment, didn't you?" he asked.
I smiled at him and stood up.
"Go on a date with me," I said.
Shock was very evident in his eyes.
"Are you sure? What about Todo-"
"This isn't about him right now. We asked him what we needed to about Zero, and he told us what he wanted to about his sickness. The talk is over, it's about you and me," I said.
Deku smiled at me. I love his smile. I haven't seen him smile for real in a long time.
"I would love to go on a date with you," he replied.
"Tomorrow evening at 6," I said.
He agreed and then we both left out of Todoroki's room.
