Prologue Part 3: Cruel Answer!

Yuuto's POV

While everyone was arguing about catching Grim, I was already behind Grim ready to catch him. After checking that Grim didn't have any attention on me, I caught him in my arms and put my hands in his mouth.

"Mmmf!?" Muffled Grim trying to get out of my grip, but I have a death grip so it was hard for him to get out
"Calm down, buddy. You made your point, already." I told him in a soft tone which seemed to calm him down a little. I must say, I started to have soft spot for this little guy. Well, I always had a soft spot for animals. I guess it's because animals aren't as judgmental as some people and they're loyal. But enough of that, when I looked back up , I heard the red head.
" I can't overlook those who break the rules. Let's hurry and get this over with." Oh, I guess they didn't notice me. Guess it's time to speak up.

"I don't think you need to do that anymore" As soon as I said those words, everyone's attention was on me. Literally me. Did I have something on my face? But then I realized that my hood had gone down, revealing my face. In my life, I couldn't have felt more insecure than I did now. I then heard a few whispers and muttering echoing around the room. Then the red head came my way and turned his attention at Grim then began to shout.

"Off with your head!!" Then a black, red and gold colored collar appeard onto Grim's neck.
"What the heck is this!?" Grim whimpered a bit because of the collar around his neck.
"Laws of the the Queen of Hearts rule number 23. One shall never bring a cat into a festival. You being a cat means you've broken the rule. I shall have you leave at once." The red head explained to Grim. Hmm interesting rule... wait the Queen of Hearts?
" I'm not a cat!" Grim yelled.
"Then what are you?" I asked him while tilting my head.
"I'm the Great-"
"Grim? Yeah I got that part" I giggled a bit while he sulked a little before composing himself.
"I'll burn this collar right off and-!" Grim tried to use his fire but he couldn't. I'm guessing the collar did something to his fire.
"E-eh!? I can't use my fire!!" Yup the collar did something. I gotta remember not to get the red head mad. EVER.
"Hmph! You won't be using any magic until I remove  the collar. Just like an ordinary cat." The red head said with a mischievous smile. He kinda looks scary like that.
"W-what!? I'm not some pet!" Umm, I dont know about that.
"Don't worry. I'd never keep pets like you. I'll take it off when you get thrown out." At least he'll take it off.

"Wow, as wonderful as ever." I then heard the boy with glasses and turned at him.
"Any and all magic gets sealed by your Unique Magic, Riddle." Riddle? That must be the red head's name. Unique Magic.... What is that exactly? Is it that collar?
" I want it....No. I wouldn't ever want that cast on me." I don't know if I could trust you on that with that smile.

"You must do something about this!! It is your familiar!!" Crowley suddenly yelled at me and everyone's attention was at me again.
"Hehe I think you got that wrong sir." I giggled at him for his obliviousness.
"Huh?"
"This little guy is not my familiar or whatever."
"Eh? It's not yours?" Crowley asked again.
" I've been trying to tell you but you always keep interrupting me. I feel hurt.." I sad the last line with a sad tone.
"A-ah! I'm so sorry please don't be sad!" Crowley started to panic seeing me in tears. I think everyone bought my acting so I can stop now.
"Okay~. Your forgiven!" I quickly changed my tone and everyone looked so confused. I should have brought a camera cause they're faces are priceless right now.

Crowley cleared his throat before continuing.
"Anyway, let's get it out of the school at any rate. We won't turn you into a stew. For I am gracious." And here I thought that maybe I was wrong but no, I'm gonna be hearing that sentence a lot more than I would like.

"Someone help me, please" And then two boys appeared  and grabbed ahold of Grim.
"Gyaaa!! Let me go! I'm going to, going to... become the greatest magician!!" And he got taken out.
"Aww I feel bad for him." I mumbled sadly. I really felt bad for Grim but I feel like I'm going to be seeing him again soon.

"We had a bit of trouble along the way but this brings the entrance ceremony to a close." Crowley the turned  to the seven boys.
"Dormitory Heads, please show the new students back to the dormitories." Then Crowley began to think about something.
"..Hm? Now that I think about it, I don't see the leader for Diasomnia, Mr. Draconia, around at all..." Draconia? Cool name.

"That's no different from usual, is it?" The man with lion ears said.
"What? Did nobody tell him about the ceremony?" The boy I saved earlier said and then the beautiful man spoke next.
"If you're going to complain, you should have done it yourself."
"Hmm. But I don't really know anything about that guy."
Then some whispers were heard in the room.

"By Draconia... Do they mean "that" Malleus Draconia?

"Is he seriously attending this school?

"Scary.."
Well I see how well liked this person is.

"I was correct." I turned to look at a boy with red eyes and black with pink streaks hair. He looked like a kid, but he must be older.
"I thought he might come but Malleus really didn't. It seems the invitation "never arrived" again." Again? Do they always do this or something?
"My deepest apologies. I promise, we didn't intend to exclude." The glasses boy apologized though I dont really know if that apology was sincere.
"His aura makes it hard to approach him." Riddle said.
"It's fine. Members of the Diasomnia Dormitory can come with me.....I hope this doesn't upset him.." I dont really know about that, but you never know. After that, everyone left and only me and Crowley remained.
"Then, Yuuto, I'm terribly sorry about this but... we must have you leave the school. Those without any talent for magic cannot be allowed to attend class here. There is no need to worry. The Dark Mirror will send you directly back from where you came."
"Hmhm~ Understood sir!" I said in a happy tone. I have to say, I'll kinda miss this place but oh well...

.....

I don't want to leave.....

Hm?.. What was that? Probably nothing...
"Enter the Gate and picture your home clearly in your  mind.." I followed Crowley's instructions and thought of my home... the place where I used to live...where I......
"Oh Dark Mirror! Guide this one back to the place they belong!" Where I belong.... I don't know where I belong anymore.. I closed my eyes waiting to be in my room but when I opened them I was still in the room with Crowley.
"Once more. Oh Dark Mirror! Guide this.." But then the Mirror interrupted him.

"It is nowhere.."
"Eh?"
"The place they belong is nowhere in this world.." In this world? Am I in some kind of other dimension?
"It does not exist"
"What did you say? That is unbelievable! Hmm, well, the unbelievable has been on parade today." It sure has.
"This is the first time it's ever happened since I became headmaster, what should be.. Where exactly did you come from?
"Well the truth is...."

After explaining where I come from, the headmaster continued talking.
"I've never heard that place. I have a general grasp of where all the students came from but I've never even heard that name before. Let's do some research in the library."
Yay! Time to study. I guess..
