Yuuto's POV
After a while, we finally finished peeling the chestnuts.
"Puaaah! We're finally done with the peeling!" Ace exclaimed as he sat down on a chair.
"My arms hurt." Deuce muttered as his arms hanged on his sides.
"Hm? Honestly I'm not really tired." The boys then looked at me shocked.
"Eh!?" They both exclaimed as I giggled at their reaction.
"Haha. Good job. Your hard work will make it tastier." Trey complimented us.
"I'm full from just the smell." Grim stated.
"Next we mix butter and sugar into the chestnut paste then add oyster sauce as the secret ingredient." Trey explai- Wait a second, oyster sauce? Isn't that a salty sauce?
"Oyster sauce!?" Ace and Deuce yelped in surprise. Trey then looked at me and winked. I nodded, understanding what he wanted me to do.
"Of course! You guys don't know? I also use it when I'm baking." I say as the guys looked more shocked and confused then before.
"Yep. The savoriness of oysters adds depth and richness to the cream." Trey explained.
"Mhm! I'm surprised that you guys don't know." I said looking at them shocked.
"Here's young oyster sauce with the walrus' seal of excellence. Famous patisserie all use this in their tarts. " Trey adds as he shows the bottle of oyster sauce.
"Seriously... That's a pretty salty sauce." Deuce mumbled as he kept thinking about it.
"Even chocolate gets, but in curry all the time... It might be good." Ace concluded. Soon after me and Trey started laughing out loud.
"...Pfft. Ahaha!"
"Hahaha!" The guys were looking at us confused, more then ever.
"It's a joke. Oyster sauce does not belong in sweets." Trey said as he tried to stop his laughter. I on the other hand was laughing hysterically.
"I-Haha, didn't think think you-haha, guys would fall for-haha, that, haha!" I tried talking but it was hard to stop my laughing. At this point my stomach was starting to hurt.
"Screw you! You said it with a straight face." Ace pouted as I fixed my composure.
"Don't be mad. It's your fault for falling for that." I giggled at him as he kept pouting.
"Haha! If you took a second to think about it you'd figure it out. Don't just accept things without a healthy amount of skepticism. Better study up." Trey chuckled.
"This guy looks nice but is pretty good at lying..." He ain't the only one...
"Next is whip cream... Ah!" Trey suddenly looked worried about something.
"What's the matter?" Ace asked.
"You all gathered so many chestnuts that I got ahead of myself and made too much marron paste. We don't have enough whip cream to mix into it." Trey sighed.
"I can go out and buy some. Is it sold at the school store?" Deuce asked Trey.
"You can find anything at that place so it should be there. Could I ask you to pick up a few other things? 2 cartons of milk, a dozen eggs, aluminum cups and 5 cans of fruit..." That's a lot of stuff. I'm pretty sure Deuce can't carry all that stuff alone.
"I don't think I can carry all that alone. Yuu, do you mind coming with me?" Deuce asked me.
"Sure! I was going to come, anyway!" I nodded at him.
"I'm going, too! I'm tired of mixing flour endlessly." Grim joined in as he jumped on my shoulder. We then made our way to the school's store.
As soon as we entered at the school's store, I was met by an unexpected sight.
Deuce's POV
"Pardon us... Wow, this place is amazing. There's a crystal skull, grimoires... What kind of taxidermy is this?" I sweat dropped. I continued to look around until I noticed that Yuuto wasn't next to me anymore. I was beginning to worry about his whereabouts until I saw him literally jumping around the store.
"Woah, look at this! Oh, this is so shiny! Wow, what's this?" Yuuto beamed looking at every object. Grim on the other hand was beginning to faint over all the jumps and turns that Yuuto was doing.
"Um, Yuuto? I think you should calm down." By that Yuuto snapped out from his "overly excited" state.
"Ups. Sorry! You okay, Grim?" He asked Grim who was spinning his head in circles.
"Uuuuuu...no more..." Grim mumbled. After some seconds he regained himself.
"Hmph! Don't do that again!" He pouted at Yuuto as he giggled nervously.
