~Your POV:~
I wish I didn't lie about the fact I love skateboarding. But I didn't want everyone to know my secret. I just have to hope he bought it.

"Ah right..." He says.

I guess he was hoping I said yes. He doesn't seem to have many people who actually skateboard. I mean. I could always ask him to teach me, so he doesn't feel so bad. But then... how would I hide the fact I'm basically a champion fucking skateboarder who hasn't once lost a "S" match?!

"I mean... you could always teach me?" I say.

His eyes lit up at that.

"Yes! I mean yeah. After school sound good?" He asks.

"Sure." I say with a smile.

"Do you own a skateboard?" He asks me.

"I don't think I do no." I reply with a lie again.

"Ok. I'll just grab one from where I work." He says.

"Ha! I knew you worked at a skateboarding shop!" I say, pointing at him.

"Alright. You got me." He says, raising his hands in defeat.

The school bell rang and we both headed down to our lesson. After what felt like forever, school was over. I headed outside and to the bike rack, to grab my bike. Reki came out not long after and asked me if I forgot.

"No. I'm just going home to change." I reply.

"Ah. Makes sense. Mind if I tag along? That way we can go to my work after." He says with a beaming smile.

"Sure. I guess." I say.

We both head in the direction for my house. He was on his skateboard. And me on my bike. Once we got to my house, I told him to wait outside. He did and I went in to change. It was quite hot out so I grabbed a tank top then remembered my tattoo. I grabbed a flannel shirt and put that on top. To hide it. I go through my drawer and find my skateboard. I go to pick it up then remember it's the skateboard "Fire Phoenix" uses. I then remember I have a spare.

My first skateboard. The one my "friend" gave me. I despised the skateboard but what could I do. It was helping me hide my identity so I'm glad.

I head towards my door, carrying my skateboard under my arm. I sit down on my porch and put on my trainers. I open my front door and notice Reki doing tricks in my garden. I close my door and lock it before heading over to Reki. I'd thought of the perfect way to make me seem like I'm a newb at this. I decided to switch the way I skate. By having my right foot at the front rather than my left. Since I was less confident that way.

(A/N: If you do actually skateboard and prefer your right foot at the front of you board, feel free to change it. I'm just more confident with my left at the front so...)

"You alright?" Reki asked me when I wobbled.

"Yeah. I'm good. I'll get the hang of it... eventually." I say.

He laughs at me then. I end up laughing as well. We start skating towards his work but I'm obviously slower than him since I'm skating differently. It does feel weird but then again, I have the balance down since I used to ice skate. And I know how to stand on a board since I used to snowboard.

"Woah! You're actually quite good at that!" He says, turning to face me.

"Am I?" I say, feigning that I don't know what he's talking about.

"Yeah! You know, you should come compete in "S"." He says in a whisper.

"I don't know. I'm not that confident. I'd rather do it for fun for now." I say.

"Ah right. Anyway, we're here." He says.

He shows me where he works and I've gotta say, all these years I was doing my own maintenance on my skateboard. But now... I might start coming here more often!

We head inside and he introduces me to his boss. He starts stacking shelves while I sit back and watch. As much as I'd love to work in a skateboarding shop, I doubt anywhere would be hiring. I think Reki could tell I was thinking that as he stopped what he was doing. Well, he dropped something.

"Reki. You alright?" His boss asks.

"Yeah. I'm fine." He says.

"You were thinking about working here, weren't you?" Reki says to me.

"Huh?! No!" I say.

"Ok. Maybe." I say.

"Can she?" Reki asks.

"I don't see why not." His boss says.

"Oh. Do you mind helping Reki take these to the back?" He asks.

Me and Reki then head outside with our skateboards. He was riding his but it it started slipping away from him. We both saw the new guy from school and Reki called out to get him to stop it.

"Hey! Could you get that?!" He shouts out.

The guy stops the skateboard and me and Reki head over to him to thank him.

"Thanks man." Reki says.

I could tell the guy was staring at both our skateboards. Like he wanted to try it, but didn't know how to ask.

"You wanna try it, don't you?" Reki asks.

The guy nods and attempts to stand on the skateboard but falls off and lands on his back. Me and Reki couldn't help but laugh at him though I knew I shouldn't have.

I offered out my hand and helped him up. Then Reki asked what he was doing here.

"I was looking for a part-time job." He says.

"Oh! Why don't you come work at the skate shop?!" Reki proposes.

"Yeah! I work there now so..." I add.

"Ok..." He answers.

We head back inside the shop and introduce him to Reki's boss. The boss' pet was on the counter and it bit both Reki's and the new guy's hand. I think his name was Langa. But when I went to pet it, it just let me.

"What?! No fair!" Reki says.
