Chapter 8

Muichiro’s POV
 
I lay in bed, I had just gotten home. The rest of the day had definitely been… interesting. People seemed to have been talking about me a lot more than usual, I’m not usually the center of attention so it kinda stressed me out. Tanjirou didn’t seem too bothered by it, I was at first worried that it might hurt his reputation and people would look down on him, but somehow it made him more popular? I’m not even surprised, the school’s golden boy stands up to the bully and get’s into a fight to defend him… that sounds like the exact thing that would happen to him.

T: Again, I’m sorry about your nose😥                                 

My phone chimed, it was Tanjirou.

M: I told you not to worry it about it, I’m fine

T: Nooooo! I still feel really guilty, you need to let me make it up to you!

M: And how would you like to do that?

T: Are you free right now? let me take you out!

M: And where would we go?

T: It’s a surprise but I promise you’ll like it!

M: Alright, let’s go out

T: Ok, I’ll pick you up in half an hour!

M: Do you know where I live?

T: Yeah

M: …

T: I walked you home that one time, remember?

M: Oh yeah, ok, in half an hour then

T: Awesome, see you then! 😀                 

I put my phone down and flopped onto my back, I lay solemnly in my warm comfy bed. ‘I wonder what Tanjirou has planned’ I thought.
I looked at my self in the mirror, I wore a light denim overall with loose pants, a white shirt underneath with light blue sleeves and collar. I had my hair up in a ponytail with some strands of hair by the sides of my face, I also wore a fabric type headband that had a sloppy looking bow in the top of it and some light-yellow high tops.
I smiled at myself in the mirror, I grabbed a brown cross body bag and slipped some things into it.

T: I’m in the lobby, are you ready?

M: Yeah, I’ll be down in a second       

I hurriedly stepped out of my room and went down the stairs. I stepped into the lobby to see Tanjirou.

“Muichiro!” he smiled when he saw me. “I’m so glad that you’ve agreed to spend the day with me!” he smiled. “C’mon, I can’t wait to show you where we’re going!”

We walked down the street, it was slightly crowded the way we walked but Tanjirou held onto my hand as we weaved through the house. A light blush was on my face as we walked.

‘I wonder if he realizes that I like him, I wonder if this can be considered a date?’ I asked myself. “So, where are we going?” I asked, looking up at him.

“We’re almost there” he simply smiled at me.

After a few minutes I started to hear lots of noise and voices, I also saw a large crowd gathering in a large park. There was a huge banner near an entrance looking place.

“Huh, what’s this?” I asked surprised. I saw a Ferris wheel in the background and there were tons of stands and game booths. We walked up to the front of the entrance.
