Chapter 25

Tanjirou's POV

He snored lightly, it was adorable. He was warm next to me, and I didn't want to move, but it was almost time to get up. I jerked up when I heard Pebbles' high-pitched whine, Muichiro heard it too, he also woke up. He sat up, Pebbles was at the door whining.

"She has to go" he yawned while rubbing his eyes, "She didn't get to go last night"

He started to get up, "Don't Worry, I'll take her" I said, getting out of bed quickly. I pulled my clothes off the floor and pulled them back on. He started to pull the covers off him.

I walked Pebbles around some grassy patches around the hotel. When I got back, I found Muichiro leaning against the wall next to the wardrobe built into the wall, his legs wobbled.

"Are you alright?" I asked, letting Pebbles off the leash.

"It's nothing" he mumbled, there was a light blush on his face from what I could tell.

The sun was just starting to rise, so the lamp was on. He was standing a bit odd, so I walked over to him and wrapped my arms around his waist. He felt like he was about to fall.

"Are you sure it's nothing?" I cooed gently.

"..." he stayed silent, " My butt's sore" he whispered.

I held back a chuckle, "I'm sorry baby"

He just huffed.

I decided to go home, I had to change out of these clothes. I had texted Nezuko telling her to tell mom and dad to that I was going to stay with Zenitsu to work on an assignment. She wouldn't stop spamming me after that, so I put my phone on silent.

There was a small window in my room, it faced the fence and was near the back of the house. I knew it was unlocked, I always left it unlocked. It was still pretty early, mom and dad might just be waking up, but the rest of my siblings don't get up for another hour.

I snuck into the backyard and treaded through the grass, I could see through a window that nobody was on the main floor, all the lights were still off. I went over to my window, as I expected, it was unlocked. I slid it open carefully and slipped in, I struggled for a second but was able to get into my room. I landed on the bed as I let go of the outside window frame. I sighed in relief.

"Wow, I'm impressed you were able to squeeze yourself through that tiny window"

I whipped my head up to the open door. Nezuko stood there, in her light pink pajamas, with her hair pulled up and in pink bunny slippers.

I paled, "You're in yesterday's clothes" she smirked.

"It's not what you think" I said, shaking my head. I looked back and closed the window.

"Oh it's not? Then what is it?" she asked while smirking.

"I texted you, I was with Zenitsu, we stayed up late and I fell asleep" I said.

"Well if it was such an innocent reason for why you didn't come home then why did you sneak in through the window?" she asked.

"I didn't want to wake anyone up" I said, I tried to keep my cool, but she saw right through me.

"C'mon, stop lying, I texted Zenitsu. He said you weren't with him but then tried to cover for you, he was trash at it" she said.

I sighed again, sounds like something Zenitsu would do. "And what did you tell mom and dad?" I asked.

"I told them you were with Zenitsu, but we both know that's not true"

"You don't care where I was, you just want to know what I'll give you to stay quiet" I said, already knowing the drill.
