"Perceptor, take us out." Rodimus ordered.
"Roger that." The scientists replied as he took control of the ship.
Hina could feel the ship as it began hovering in the air. She looked out the window to see the city shrinking and shrinking before her eyes. Sure she's been on airplanes before, but not a giant space ship!
It wasn't like Lockdown's ship really counted, since she'd been forced to go there, ripped from her only chances of being a normal human being, and rescued by Drift.
Speak of the devil and he shall appear.
She couldn't help but think of that as Drift winked at her. He was definitely more relaxed than anyone there, though that was probably just a samurai thing. She'd experienced it to.
"Engaging Quantum Jump.... Now!"
The Quantum engines kicked in, powering on as Hina could feel a surge of energy through the ship. Outside the window, the sky and stars turned into thin lines as the ship jolted forward, going into hyper space.
Only this time, it didn't exactly go as planned. Once reaching the other side of the jump, there was a sudden 'BOOM!' as the ships alarm went off, red lights blinking on and off in the room as the ship shook furiously.
"Somebody please tell me what just happened? Perceptor? Mainframe? Highwire? Anyone?! COME ON!" Rodimus yelled.
"We quantum jumped before we were ready! We've hopped halfway across the galaxy and we're flying blind. I'm sorry, but I don't know why!" Mainframe explained.
"Damage?" Rodimus asked, trying to steady himself.
"One of the rear thrusters exploded, Deck 6 is in flames, and-- oh no....." Highwire's optical pupils shrank.
"What? What is it?!" Rodimus asked.
Hina crawled to a console, pulling herself up to her feet as the deck continued to rock. As she did so, she spotted Cybertronians soaring right through a hole in one of the hangers of the ship. She gasped at the sight. "One of the hangers on the upper decks! It's been breached!"
Not only that, they were heading striaght for a planet!
They were going to crash!
"Resealing the hatch... now!" Perceptor stated, typing in some things into the computer. " Structural integrity restored. Heat sheilds in place. Rodimus?"
"Set us down. We're not going anywhere until we find out why the quantum engines malfunctioned." Rodimus ordered.
Drift managed to jump, grabbing onto one of the other computer consoles. He reached out, grabbing Hina's hand and hoisted her up towards him. Hina graciously took the offer, hanging on to him with all her might.
"Sensors indicate we're missing Fizzle, Polaris, Waverider, Hyperion, Rad... we're 40 Autobots down, all told. They must have... I mean...." Drift listed the names, slowing down.
"The breach?" Hina asked nervously.
"They're not dead. I'll tell you two that now. No one dies on my watch. No one. Not this time. We'll find them as soon as we touch down. We'll find them. We'll find them and we'll fix them and we'll make this day a good day." Rodimus stated.
********
Perceptor managed to land the ship without getting it too much more damage than it already has.
Rodimus, Drift and Ultra Magnus went outside to survey the area, figure out where the others could have landed in hopes of tracking them down. A few other crew members have also left to help look for the missing Autobots as well. As much as Hina wanted to help, Rodimus wanted her to stay behind, keep things running smoothly on the ship.
