Hina sighed as she tagged along with Drift on another one of his "field trips". Once again he was out and about helping Rodimus with getting ready for his quest.
The epic search for the legendary Knights of Cybertron.
Tonight, Pipes and Riptide were with them, walking around the city of Iacon during the Lost Light Festival.
The group entered a restaurant, filled with Cybertronians at various tables. Hina stood to the side, leaning against the wall with her arms crossed.
She was now really starting to get used to her new robotic form. Thankfully she has mastered the art of transforming, but her combat skills could use a little work. She's been thankful that thanks to her prodigy that she's been able to catch up with her training drills.
And on the days when Ultra Magnus was in charge, it wasn't pretty.
Drift stepped forward, glancing around the crowd.
"The quantum spaceship parked on the south side - the one with the fuel quills. I'm looking for the owner."
A few of the mechs and femmes took a quick glance at him then continued what they were doing.
"Why's everyone ignoring me Riptide?" Drift asked, looking over at the mech.
Riptide had a dark blue and yellow colour scheme with golden spikes on his shoulders and arms, a light, pale, pink face plate and golden optics. "Because you're wearing fourteen swords and they think they're in trouble."
"Strange. I'm using modal energy to enhance the warm, comforting timbre of my voice." said Drift.
"Again: fourteen swords." Riptide repeated.
Hina shrugged from where she stood. "He's got you there. Drift, how are you even going to pay the guy when we find him? I know I've only been here for a few months, but I do know that spaceships aren't cheap."
"We use this." He pulled out a golden credit card.
"Oh wow, a gold currency card!" Pipes exclaimed. Pipes was a blue and white mech with a red visor and wheels on the side of his shoulders and legs. "Where'd you get all that cash?"
"You know Pipes, there are three things you should never ask someone: Their religion, their mode of creation, and whether they've ever switched sides. If there was a fourth, it would be 'how did you end up getting a golden currency card?'"
As Pipes rambled on, Hina groaned as she took her own look around the restaurant. She didn't mind the little mech at all, but when he starts chatting away, he has a hard time of stopping.
"This is going to get us no where." Hina spoke up. "Riptide?"
"On it." he grinned.
The mech jumped up on an empty table, bringing his hands up to his mouth. "ATTENTION GRIEVING MASSES! The massive ship with the spikes, someone tell the owner we've got an equally massive amount of money and we want to do a swap!"
That seemed to catch everyone's attention. Hina perked up as she spotted an orange and blue mech with a blue visor raise his servo.
"Found him!" She pointed.
"I see him too. The nails in the corner."
Riptide jumped down from the table as the four of them walked over to the mech. Drift sat across from the dealer and the two of them..... pressed the tips of their fingers together?
"What's happening?" Hina whispered over to Riptide and Pipes.
"The dealer is chrolingual. He prefers to communicate by stimulating the nerve circuits in the fingers, wrist, and palm. I speak a little hand, but Drift here is fluent." Riptide explained.
