There were about a hundred people on the shuttle. Half of them celebrating their release from the brig. To give Rodimus is due, he was very generous. He persuaded Drift to give everyone 50 Shanix spending money.
While I couldn't exactly steer away from Whirl, regarding our deal, I stayed close with Swerve and the others around him, like Rewind, Rung, Tailgate, and Skids.
Or as Swerve likes to call them, his posse.
As everyone talked among them, Rodimus stepped into the shuttle, catching everyone's attention.
"Okay everyone, quick lecture time! Most of Hedonia's tourism hot spots are reserved for organics only. So I want anyone visiting the entertainment district to send their holomatter avatars first. Nothing wrong with a bit of remote projection if it helps keep the peace, okay?" He went on. "Oh yeah, Rung and Brainstorm have made the holomatter program more intuitive. Your new avatars should now better reflect your psyche, making for a more convincing disguise. I suggest you use the homo sapiens template." He explained.
Hearing his little lesson made Hina think to herself.
I wonder what my holomatter avatar would look like?
"It's nice and non-threatening. Remember to adjust for scale, and don't draw attention to your hair. To summarize: Have fun, chill out, see the sights... just make sure you get back to the shuttle by sunrise. You're late, you're left." Rodimus continued.
"So, this was going to be an all-nighter trip." Hina thought.
She's never done anything like that before.
I mean sure, she's done plenty of all nighters with her human friends and family back at the dojo, but, that's just it. They stayed at the dojo for the entire time. They never left the building. Not that they weren't allowed to, they just didn't feel like it.
"So, what are you in the mood for tonight, babe?" Whirl asked the femme.
"First of all, please don't call me babe." Hina answered, raising a finger. "And second of all, the guys were going to check out the local bar so---"
"A bar? Perfect! My kind of place!" he exclaimed. "Good call babe!"
"Please, for the last time, don't call me babe." Hina stated, face palming.
"Well, only because you said please." He teased in reply.
"Thank you." Hina thanked.
"What are we-- move over--- talking about?" Ultra Magnus asked as he squished himself in a seat between Swerve and Tailgate.
"Oh, nothing important." Hina answered, waving it off.
"Really? Sounded quite interes--LOOK!" The commander up-roared, pointing at something on the floor. "The fifth rivet in that sequence- it's 30 degrees wide of the weld line! I KNEW there was something odd about this shuttle."
Hina face-palmed herself as Whirl snickered in the background. "Oh you've got to be kidding me..." She muttered.
She watched as the giant mech brought out his datapad. "Better make a note of this so when I get back I can-- NO!" He stopped, his finger hovering near the screen. "Resist the urge, Magnus. You have to learn to reflex... or whatever that word is!"
******
Hina and Swerve were able to calm Magnus own during the shuttle ride to the planet. When they reached Hedonia, it was nearly midnight.
Swerve had made up a quick list of things he and his gang would do while they were here. They would check out the Lube Pits, then the Simultronic Suites, and then a quick trip of the Temple Of The Raging Prism.
