The next morning I was sitting on my bed doing some schoolwork I never did last night. I just couldn't get myself to want to work on anything school related, not only that I could stop thinking about how today was going to work. Like were they going to walk into school with me? What was the plan? The bruises had healed and my face was just pale now. I sighed when Ashely walked into my room.

"Good your still here, I don't want to get snapped out by Tyler again" she lightly laughed

'why did Tyler care so much?'

"Yeah, Sorry. Can I help you?" I wrote, now that I'm reading it again it sounded kind of rude

"I brought some clothes for you" she held a pair of blue skinny jeans, a black long sleeve, and black vans

"I'm fine with what I have on" I wrote, I didn't want to use her clothes. They were hers

"These are my old clothes, I don't wear them anymore. I have some old clothes I'm gonna give you. Now put theses on" she set them on the bed "I won't take no for an answer"

"Thank you" I put the pad down after showing her and she smiled

She walked out to let me change and slowly I peeled off my baggie clothes, I look up into the floor length mirror at my small damaged body. The scares that were stuck to my body forever, I sighed turning around to see the long scare running from my next to the middle of my back. This one didn't come from me or Lisa and Jim, this came from before I ever met them. It reminded me of what I lost

I pull on the jeans and shoes before pulling the shirt over my head, I look in the mirror again and look at myself over again and again. These didn't hide my body like the baggie clothes, but I did like the clothing. It was just slightly baggie however on my small frame. I brushed through my tangle of hair that reached just above my shoulder, maybe I should grow it out again like I had it in eighth grade. My hair was down to my butt in eighth before my life took a shitty turn for the worse

"Gracie?" I heard a knock before Ashley walked in again. Once she saw me she smiled "I knew they would look good on you. Here is a sweatshirt, it's not as baggie as your old one" she handed it to me and I pulled it over head

"This is to much. Thank you though" I wrote after picking up my note pad

"It's not a problem" she waved off "Let's go eat and then we can head off to school" she motioned me to follow her

I picked up my work and shoved it into my backpack before following Ashley down the stairs and into the kitchen. She pored us some cereal, she told me her mom had already gone to work and that we needed to pick up Mesa before we headed to school. I actually ate all my cereal this morning, I have slowly started eating more, they all keep calling me too skinny and Marcy keeps trying to push the food into me

"Ready?" Ashley asked and I nodded following her to her car. I got into the back so Mesa could sit up front

Once we picked up Mesa we started the drive to school, I felt like I was holding my breath as we pulled into the parking lot. It felt like everyone was staring at me even though no one was, only the boys who stopped talking to face us. The girls got out of the car and I froze not getting out as I opened the door. I was scared of making a fool of myself or people starting to make fun of me

"Gracie?" Ashely asked looking at me from the open door "Are you ok?" I slowly nod before getting out as slow as I could make myself go

"Hey your not wearing any baggie clothes" Mason announced pointing at me as I close the door. I wrap my arms around my body and look down "Ow"

"Ass" I heard Tyler growl "You look good Grace"

I froze, Grace? I hadn't been called that in a long time, I look up at Tyler. I search his face, for what I really don't know, but I let a small smile slip. He told me I looked good, was that a joke? I felt heat rush my face and I curse my paleness. Ashley lopped her arm around mine and we began walking forwards toward the school, I held my backpack hanging off my left shoulder with Ashley on my right arm

"What's your first class?" She asked ignoring all the stares that suddenly came our way

Well they weren't really focused on the girls, they were on me. I looked around me as almost everyone was starring weirdly at me, I probably looked like another new student. No one had seen me without my baggie clothes or hood over my face, I was a new face, a new person to them. This was going to take some getting used too. Not just for me, but everyone else too

Ok so in this chapter she speaks a little about her past, if you can tell I changed the prologue so she no longer as a different first name, just different last name .

She remembers what happened the night her real dad died. I know it's a little confusing, but I'm hoping things will get a little clearer for you soon
