Chapter 31

I sat in the corner of the room on a chair just watching Noelle pace back and forth while muttering to herself. I looked around the room looking for a way out or maybe a phone, Noelle's phone starts to ring and she walks out of the room quickly without looking towards me. I stand up quickly and start looking around the kitchen and dinning room

I was looking for something to call with, as I'm looking around I hadn't even noticed the guy from earlier walk in. I don't even remember his damn name.

"Looking for something?" spinning around I see the guy leaning on the doorway

"No-no" I mutter

"Sit" he snapped his figures and I quickly go over to the corner again "You are an interesting girl you know that? Father was murdered, you nearly died from a three story drop, in and out of foster care before being adopted and then those parents died under weird conditions" He was walking towards me the entire time he talked "Now you have a new adoptive family -Single mother with a daughter already" 

I held my breath when he mentioned Marcy and Ashley

"H-how do y-you know all that-t" I stuttered

"I'm a hacker, I can find anything and know all about someone" The guy smirked stopping right in front of me "I also know who your little boyfriend is"

"Did you get the test back?" Noelle rushed in looking frantic

"She is your daughter" Whats-his-face nodded not looking away from me giving me the creeps

"That is not possible"

"Except it Noelle" The guy finally turned around to Noelle "I'll leave you two to catch up" With that he walked away

We starred at one another for what felt like forever, she held no emotion and I'm pretty sure I looked terrified. I hold my breath when she finally moves towards me, I quickly stand up releasing that breath

"S-stop. Stay back"

Once she reached me and I had no means of an escape. She wrapped her arms around me and that's when I heard the sniffles

"I thought you were dead"

"W-what?" I whispered

"When my father sent his men..." She paused "John owed my father money - my father was going to forgive the debt when he learned I was in love with John" Noelle -or I guess my mother- let go of me to sit at the dinning room table

"Y-your father?"

"Your grandpa. He ran a small gang in LA"

"You were part of a gang?" I sat next to her

"Yea, I never actually wanted part. But I was deemed to take over. John and I were planning on running away from my father when I fell pregnant with..." she took a deep breath "...well you"

"And that didn't go well" I asked hesitantly

"We did get away -long enough to have you and then my father found us. I sent John away with you. He hid you well for fourteen years, but my father found the both of you and set out to kill him and you - no matter how much I pleaded he refused to spare your life"

"D-didn't he k-know that-t I was his grandchild?"

"He did not care, he did not agree with me having a child behind his back. My father was a weird and sick and twisted man. He wanted me to marry and have a child with another gang leader that was as cruel as him" she whipped her tears away

"I-" before anything else could be said gun shots were heard

we both ducked under the table as the bullets hit all around us

"Noelle come with me!" We both turned to see Noelle's friend beckoning her

"I'm not leaving without my daughter" she grabbed my hand and slowly crawled in his direction

"Then lets go" we rushed out the back door "They found you" was all he said

"What does he mean they found you?" I call as Noelle pushes me in front of her

I heard a scream and felt the hand on my shoulder disappear, looking back I scream seeing blood coming from Noelle in two different spots.

I'm so sorry I've been a-wall, college is kicking my ass and my junior year in high school is starting in a few weeks. I've also got 2 4-h shows back to back! my horse show just ended and I almost broke my arm. 

Lifes been pretty shitty lately. So sorry if my books don't get updates like they used to
