I huffed as I put down the giant piece of timber on the floor in front of what seemed to be a stage.
"You alright? You aren't going pass out, are ya?" Ryan asked, patting my shoulder.
I forced a smile and gave him a thumbs-up to signal I was okay.
"Looks like someone needs to work out!" Isabel said in a sing-song voice as she hopped over to us.
"Why so happy?" Ryan asked.
Isabel swung her arms behind her back and grinned. "It just feels nice to be back home!" She glanced at the vermillion palace.
She must've been home sick while in our world. Though, she did a great job at hiding it.
Ryan put his stack of timber down next to mine. "You're a lucky girl," he whispered as he cast his eyes to the cobblestone pavement.
Isabel looked down. "We'll return your world to the way it was. Even if we can not fix the machine, there are other ways to terraform it into a habitable world once more."
I smiled. "Thanks."
"It's the least I can do to repay your hospitality!"
"Yeah," Alex said, walking over to us.
Ryan rubbed his shoulder. "Thanks for the kind words, but let's get back to work," he said with a slight smile.
